Her bakımdan başarısızlık. Hayat boyunca aynı hataları tekrar tekrar yaparak tökezlemek. Kendimle nasıl yaşarım?

30 yaşıma birkaç yıldır utanıyorum, bu yüzden kendime bir hayat kurabileceğim 2 yıldan fazla zamanım vardı. Gerçekten kötü bir zihinsel sağlığım ve ek kişilik sorunlarım var. İlaç kullanıyorum ama NA’ya ve borçlulara/isimsiz alışveriş yapanlara bir şans vermeme rağmen, tüm tanrı ve yüksek güç konuşmalarıyla ilgilenemiyorum ve bundan biraz rahatsız oluyorum. Hayatımı tekrar tekrar sürdürüyorum ve durumum iyi olduğunda (harcamalarla başa çıkmamak, madde kullanmaktan vazgeçmediğimde) zihinsel olarak perişan oluyorum ve olumlu duygulara doğru bir tür zihinsel değişime fazlasıyla ihtiyaç duyuyorum.

    It’s trial and error, but you just need to find one.

    (Only 22 so take what I say with a grain of salt but I’ve been through this sort of thing since 19 so here we go)

    So here’s the thing, as someone who’s been on meds: meds are one tool. A great tool. Like a hammer. It isn’t the whole toolbox. I might be dumb and you might’ve already mentioned therapy, but I’d honestly go to therapy, not because it’ll solve all your problems but because it’ll give you a toolbox, and also tell you how to build all the other tools. A good therapist won’t just give you generic tools, he/she will give you tools that are custom fit to fit your brain.

    As for the shopping addiction, it’s often not about stuff from what I’ve heard just with videos online, it’s about soothing. One thing that helps with emotional regulation for me that I’ve learned from therapy (and also just addiction therapy in general just from being interested in that sort of stuff is HALT the BS. It’ll help you identify what sort of soothing you need.

    H: Am I hungry?

    A: Am I angry?

    L: Am I lonely?

    T: Tired?

    B: Bored?

    S: Stressed?

    Hungry?: 

    -Eat a balanced snack: carbs+protein is the best.

    -If it’s been at least 3 hours since you last ate, even if you’re not hungry, eat. 

    -Drink water unless you literally have no other option. 

    Angry?: 

    -Try deep breathing exercises. 

    -Go on a walk if you can. 

    -Journal about it. Start with a simple, “I feel angry because ______”. 

    Lonely?: 

    -Connect.

    -Attend a new club.

    -If all else fails, try going on social media. 

    Tired?: 

    -Power nap. No questions. 20-30 minutes, no less than that, no more than that. (Unless it’s night in which case go to bed lol.) 

    -If you at all can, nap screen-free. 

    -If you can’t nap? This is when you turn to soda or coffee. 

    Bored?: 

    -Read a book.

    -Cook a meal or bake a dessert.

    -Go on a walk. 

    Stressed?: 

    -List top 3 priorities, cross off the rest until later. 

    -Make a plan for how to address these 3 priorities, attack them if you want to.

    -Then, reward yourself-take a walk, go to the gym, take a shower.

    Edit: Someone else said you have low T, getting bloodwork done is a good idea as well. In general you should have bloodwork done every year even though nothing’s wrong, more often if you have something wrong like anemia which for me contributed heavily to depressive episodes
