Guy Fawkes, the Epic Fail Guy.

It’s honestly crazy how the mass population, especially Americans, believe that mask is just the stereotypical “hacker mask.” That mask is the face of Guy Fawkes, a Catholic, English revolutionary who tried (and failed miserably) to destroy the Houses of Parliament with a massive explosion. He quite literally got caught lighting the match to the gunpowder barrels and arrested and put to death. Dude got caught, hanged, drawn, and quartered. Basically hanged from his neck till he’s dead, his genitals are cut off and roasted on a fire in front of him, and then his body is cut into quarters (4 parts). After this, his disembodied head was impaled onto a spike on London Bridge for everyone to admire the epic fail guy with fantastic facial hair. Disturbing I know, but it’s history and we just cannot forget the legacy of Guy Fawkes. Dude historically went down in history for an epic fail of legendary proportions and it’s being replaced by some dudes on Roblox who scammed you on Adopt Me in 2016? I call bullshit. We need more hilariously stupid and brutal history to be mainstream knowledge. Bonfire Night exists for a reason.
