What about joining a large company in something you already have education experience and then getting to know the other departments and the people. Then, work towards that type of job and when an opportunity comes up, you say I have a really big interest in this. Since they already know you they’re more likely to give you an opportunity.

Business Development or Account Management Sales would be the fastest way to earn that much income with no past relatable ‘experience’.

First of all where do you live? Big city? Small town?

Who are the major employers? What needs do they have?

Maybe start small with a part time job to rebuild your confidence, keep busy and keep up socializing outside the house. My little hometown has people making bank growing vegetables for the local farmers market. Home healthcare where you just give someone respite time and babysit someone with Alzheimer’s can pay ok.

State and local governments, schools are all good place you can work and feel connected.

Hey girl! I know money is tight but I think the first step might be therapy. I used openpathcollective when I had feelings similar to yours, providers on the site don’t charge more than 70/session I believe.
Second, living at home sucks but it’s awesome to have a safe place to land. It would be much worse to be homeless
Third, I’m lowkey in the same place (I have a shit job that pays my rent) and I’m going back to school. Community college is affordable. I’ve taken a few intro classes to see what I think I could stand

idk but I think you’ll be ok if you focus on your mental health first!! you are more than your job and your productivity. unfortunately capitalism divorces us from our humanity and isolates us from community.

last thought- physical activity really helped me during my darkest times. If you’re not up to join a gym you can earn some casual money walking dogs on one of the apps. endorphins, pups and regular fresh air/sun exposure will probably change your mood a lot

Same here but Male. Injuries and such derailed my last five years and I’m considering finding a way to “end” it as well

Thankfully Canada has MAID so that’s a potential avenue next year

Same here 29M, currently in tech not earning a great deal (UK). Heavily considering applying for Merchant Navy sponsorships and going back to college/apprenticeship.

Hi! I would say that in this economy, even if you don’t want to do a certain job, if you’re qualified for it you should do it. It might be annoying, but having a job is less miserable than not having one. Once you’re in that job you can start doing therapy to learn coping skills and manage the stress, and you can also keep searching for more positions that are a better fit. Just a thought! Good luck with whatever you end up doing 🙂

    Hi there my fellow people.

Listen to me really carefully, life happens wherever you see it as a success or as a failure. There is no success or failure, I’d you have a roof, food, and still alive you are a success. There are no goals in life – we put the goals.

I know is hard, but just stop giving a duck about anything. Love your beloved ones, eat whatever u want, drink whatever u want, and if u want to keep healthy, do that instead. (Recommended)

But stop planning , setting goals, or whatever u do. Just say duck you to the world, and enjoy while it lasts. Nothing makes sense, nothing will, and that’s freedom. Go do whatever u like, and if u don’t like anything? So enjoy that too.

Just try to be a good person

How much are you willing to spend?

How long can you be out of work for?

What subjects were you good or bad at in school?

There’s always something for everyone. My mom knows like 50 words in English and makes $100k+ in the beauty industry after minimal training. Try to find a niche that people need. Also, I know someone who went and got an 2 year associate in nursing and made $75k starting working 3 days a week.

I’m in tech and I’m looking for niches to fall back on in case I ever get laid off and struggle for work.
