28 Ve hala kariyer olarak ne yapmak istediğime dair hiçbir fikrim yok
Tamam, aslında 2018 itibariyle grafik ve web sitesi tasarımı alanında bir derecem var, 2021’e kadar sahadaydım ve işten çıkarıldım (benim hatam değil). Sahaya geri dönemedim. Bu arada Doggy Daycares’da çalışıyorum ve şimdi bir yardım yardımcısı. Kariyerim, patronumun bana öğreteceği bir damat olacaktı, ama bir şeyler geldi ve artık bana daha fazla öğretemiyor.
Bu durumlardan dolayı belki de desiging ve köpeklerle çalışmak benim için değil gibi çok kaybolmuş hissediyorum. Zevk aldığım bir şeyi nasıl bulduğum ve sonra hayatta geriye döndüğümü hissediyorum.
Her zaman tasarım/yaratıcı ya da hayvanlarla çalışmakla ilgilenmiştim. Ancak, ödemek için daha büyük faturalarım (ipotek, araba ödemeleri, vb.) Ve şimdi tam zamanlı bir gelire ihtiyacım var.
Ben de vücudumun 5 yıl öncesine kıyasla daha ağrılı ve sertleştiği bir yerdeyim, bu yüzden ofis tipi bir iş aramayı düşünüyorum. Bu aynı zamanda kararsız AF olmaya yardımcı olmuyor, kafamda birkaç iş fikrim var ama yanlış yolu seçmek istemiyorum. Serbest çalışmayı düşündüm ama bunun içine girmek zor olabilir, ancak kendim için çalışmak da güzel olurdu.
TBH Burada ne sorduğumdan gerçekten emin değilim, sadece bir kariyer yolu açısından kaybolmuş hissediyorum.

Here’s the thing. You’re not going backwards, you’re just taking a scenic route. I mean, you’ve got design skills and you know how to handle dogs that probably have better attitudes than most clients I’ve dealt with. That’s actually a pretty solid combo.
Since you mentioned being indecisive AF (relatable), maybe stop trying to pick the “perfect” path and just pick ANY path for now. Seriously. The whole “what if I choose wrong” paralysis is way worse than just moving in some direction.
Your design background is actually super valuable right now. Like, every business needs websites, social media graphics, all that stuff. You could probably start freelancing on the side while keeping your day job, even if its just a few small projects to test the waters. No need to go all-in immediately.
Or here’s a wild thought, what about getting into tech? I know, everyone says that. But hear me out. At Metana we’ve had people transition from all kinds of backgrounds into web development. Your design experience would actually give you a huge advantage since most developers can’t design their way out of a paper bag. Plus its remote-friendly so your body won’t hate you as much.
The point is, you’re 28, not 80. You’ve got time to figure this out. Just don’t let the fear of making the wrong choice keep you from making any choice at all.
Also pro tip.. whatever you pick, there’s probably a way to still work with dogs on weekends. Best of both worlds right there.
Consider a staffing agency to help place you as a web designer (I can send you a list or you can google/AI it) and immediately build a portfolio to increase your marketability.

As one of the commenters said, there is no “wrong” path. Choose a path and make it right for you (forgot who said this, but I believe it)
