I’m so happy I’m not Indian
I’m so happy I’m not Indian. I happen to be born in the US, and though I’m a minority group, I’m so glad I’m not Indian. Every time I feel lesser for being a minority, I go on Instagram or Tiktok and look at the vast amounts of hatred towards Indians. Everyone likes to say America is the most racist towards blacks, but that’s so, so wrong.
You see, it doesn’t even matter if you’re an Indian born in America. Don’t get me wrong, your life will be so much better on average than being born in India. But even in the US, you’ll experience so much more racism than just about any other minority. Every time I experience any kind of racism, I smile knowing I can’t remember when I was last harassed for it. If I was Indian, it would be every day.
It‘s honestly ridiculous how much Indians are bullied here. You have an Indian name? Lol. Lmao, even. No one will take you seriously. You look Indian? Good luck. How many times have you heard that question “Which race would you never date?”, and how many times would you cringe at the answer? What about the stereotypes of being smelly or ugly? And don’t forget you’re not “Asian” to most people either. I always see them call themselves “South Asian” just to be harassed at nuclear levels. There’s also so many Indian men who comment on white girl’s pages, and they‘re all ignored. Every time. Thank goodness I don’t have to worry about any of it.
I see it every day at school. Indians are always the group that everyone bullies. All the races, all the genders, all the stereotypical kids. They all gang up on the Indians. The Pakistanis, Sri Lankans, and Bangladeshis are all considered Indians too. And me? Brown skinned me? They don’t care at all. I can go through my day with a smile on my face and carefree thoughts. All because I’m not Indian.
I love not being Indian. Yeah, I may not be white here in the US, but hey, at least I’m not Indian.

i wouldn’t say all south asians are bullied, there are many stereotypes, some worse, some better, and some who are successful in blending in to the whites. its all about your habits, mindset and mostly your accent
