Tam zamanlı kolej + tam zamanlı iş ile sıkışmış hissediyorum-gerçekçi seçenekler hakkında herhangi bir tavsiye var mı?

30’ların baÅŸlarımdayım ve ÅŸu anda üniversitede tam zamanlı 2. seviyeli araç bakım kursu yapıyorum. Aynı zamanda bir hastanede (HCA rolü) tam zamanlı çalışıyorum. Ãœniversite programı haftada 4 tam gün sürüyor ve 150 saatlik yerleÅŸtirme istiyorlar, bu da iÅŸ ve aile hayatı ile dengelenmesi çok zor.
Benim endiÅŸem, tek başına Seviye 2’nin sahada uygun istihdama veya 3. Seviye’ye açık bir ÅŸekilde ilerlemeye yol açmadığı ve gerçek bir kariyer yolu olmadan hareketlerden geçtiÄŸimi hissediyorum.
Benzer bir durumda olan var mı? YetiÅŸkin öğrenciler için gerçekçi alternatifler var mı – RPL (önceki öğrenmenin tanınması), çıraklık veya 3. seviyeye daha hızlı ulaÅŸmak için bir tür esnek yol var mı? Yoksa kayıplarımı kesmeli ve farklı bir yola odaklanmalı mıyım?

One realistic option for getting to Level 3 more quickly is to explore apprenticeships. Many Level 3 heavy vehicle apprenticeships are specifically designed for adult learners who are already in the industry or have some foundational knowledge. These programs combine on-the-job training with classroom or online learning, which can be more flexible than a traditional college schedule. Since you’re already in a full-time job, an apprenticeship might offer a better balance as you’d be earning a wage while you learn, with the training often integrated into your work week.
Another route to consider is recognition of prior learning (RPL). Some colleges and training providers offer this to assess your existing skills and experience. Since you’re already in a Level 2 course, your practical experience and what you’ve learned so far might count towards the requirements for Level 3. You could look into specific heavy vehicle maintenance training providers that offer this service, as it could potentially reduce the time and coursework required to complete your qualification.
Given your concern about Level 2 not leading to “proper employment,” you may also consider looking for a Level 2 job or apprenticeship that offers a clear path to Level 3. Many employers, such as franchised dealerships or fleet operators, will invest in their employees’ training and help them progress from Level 2 to Level 3 and beyond. This would allow you to gain valuable on-the-job experience while still moving toward a fully qualified status.
Ultimately, the best path for you depends on your personal circumstances and what you value most. If you need a more flexible schedule and a clear career path, an apprenticeship might be the most direct and realistic alternative. If you want to finish your qualification as soon as possible, RPL could be a good way to accelerate the process.
