You should target keywords that you can rank for, build killer content for it, and build backlink after backlink that links to that content on the keyword you want to rank for.
I have worked with a or two so called job boards ( same ICP ), & in the short run, SEO won’t benefit you. It’s slow and the niche you are in is dominated by 1. Big companies with tons of spending in ads, pr & organic traffic , 2. Indiehackers with substantial following.
But, sooner or later you have to invest in SEO. A time will come when your ads ROI will turn negative and you will simply get outspend by corporations when you start targeting the money making keywords.
1. Page views != Leads/Signups.
This is the part where most of the companies waste time & resources by hiring people who don’t target the right keywords. It’s easy to get `10x, even 100x those numbers, but are those numbers being fulfilled by search intent that brings you customers? Now that’s a completely different thing.
2. SEO is the most realistic marketing channel you can bet on for the long term. You won’t rank in AIOs if you don’t have a solid SEO presence & by SEO i mean: Search Everywhere Optimization.
If you are trying to find someone, be mindful of a few things.
1. Tech optimization is worth dime a dozen & it doesn’t take weeks.
2. Regular content creation + backlink acquisition should be the core of the strategy.
3. It doesn’t take months to publish a few blogs.
4. Although DR/DA is a 3rd party metric, make sure that the links you get ( depending on your budget ) are worth something.
5. A rough deliverables timeline should be a must.
6. pSEO should also be a part of your SEO strategy ( you’ll be surprised by the number of keywords you can target with this given your niche )
RIP your inbox. 😉
Start with quality content (blog?) around your topic. Things you know that others maybe don’t. Also try to get a few quality links to your page. Easiest would be directories or review sites. Or try to place some guest posts. Google for ‘”write for us” remote jobs’ without the ‘ and you might find pages that are looking for guest posts that are about your niche.
How does your social media marketing game look like, if I may ask?
Disclaimer: I am not a SEO expert. Just my experience. Launched my site last september and had some success with SEO (up to 500 users from Google per day – it’s a nice keyword domain)
