I’m a little outside of the box with both an SEO and sales psychology background but you’re welcome to peruse my comments and posts once in a while. I have a YouTube channel
Research SEO myths so you don’t get caught up with the content is king cult and the page speed is very important people. Nowadays watch out for the AEO and GEO people as well. Google says good SEO will take care of being seen in AI.
Read and watch videos from different sources. Look for what they have in common. Come back and ask questions.
I’d use AI to guide me through basics so then I can know what questions to ask to gain further knowledge, and then trial and error 🙂
Start with SEO fundamentals like:
* [https://developers.google.com/search/docs/fundamentals/seo-starter-guide](https://developers.google.com/search/docs/fundamentals/seo-starter-guide)
* [https://moz.com/beginners-guide-to-seo](https://moz.com/beginners-guide-to-seo)
This is required foundational knowledge, but does not establish a competitive edge. That comes from deep research into the industry you are optimizing for and competitor analysis. Use keyword research tools that provide search volume and competition metrics. Don’t waste time competing for keywords you can’t realistically rank for.
Hey, welcome to SEO! Here are some tools that are super helpful starting out.
Kick off with free essentials. Use Google Search Console to see real site performance and fixes Google flags, Google Analytics for traffic insights, and Screaming Frog’s free crawler (up to 500 URLs) to spot issues fast. For keywords, try Google Keyword Planner or Ubersuggest and they are absolutely solid starters.
For learning, check Google’s SEO Starter Guide for core basics Moz’s Beginner’s Guide breaks it down simply, and learningseo dot io has a free roadmap with guides and tools. Ahrefs and Semrush blogs have killer free tutorials too.
Practice on a test site, track changes weekly, and join r/SEO chats. You’ll pick it up quick.
Hope this helps you…..!
