You are unlikely to rank on a free domain.
There’s so much more to speak on here, but I’m just gonna encourage you to google “SEO basics”
But I’d say if we’re starting from scratch owning your brand’s domain would be a good step 1 lmfao

I feel like I should note that, while you are unlikely to rank on a free domain, /you/ are also unlikely to rank on an owned domain.
At least not at first. Maybe not even for a while.
So many reasons, but if you happen to already have a following / relevance to the point that your forthcoming site will be buzzing, maybe im on about nothing.
deff stay tuned for some links from other commenters to threads where you can kick off your learning journey — if this very hard to read post doesn’t get taken down that is
To answer your direct question, no it’s not good to change domains…
There’s a lot more research that you really should do
yeah its fine for testing stuff out, but dont expect real SEO results on the vercel temp domain tbh. google treats those kinda domains as low trust/temporary so rankings prob wont stick or transfer cleanly later.
better approach is still do ur on-page seo, structure, content, speed etc on it now for practice, but once u serious just move to a real domain asap. otherwise u might end up redoing some setup work twice later
