I hear you – and its great you have a fast site and all but Google doesnt reward/nor does it really care about CWVs from a ranking point of view. Keyword density is a myth, so is “optimized content” – but I guess you’ve figured that out by now.

What I’m reading here is taht you’re looking at Macro-SEO – which is the same pov as web devs. The reason I’m picking up on this is you haven’t stated if you lost positions – your world-view of Google is that if it likes content it sends you traffic and the harsh reality is that no engine – tiktok, yt, linkeidn – likes or dislikes content – they test it with people.
But in order to rank in Google you need authority – it doesnt rank you because you build wow-contnet on a fast domain.
Secondly – if you look at GSC – visits aren’t random users – they come from your stie ranking for a specific keyword.
Thats why SERP reports are at the heart of SEO maangement (but not macro-SEO).
So in order to diagnose what happened or what to do next, thats where you need to look
Caring about CWVs, or “optimized content” is great but its not how PageRank SEO works, sorry.

This could be any number of things, I would re-check the technical SEO aspect of your pages, attempt to resubmit them to GSC and resubmit the sitemaps.
Also doublecheck your Robots.txt file for any issues.
After about a week, check GSC for error codes.
