You’ll be competing with nepo babies, kids from wealthy families that have had the resources or connections to receive individual training and help, and those starting at other different levels and some the bottom maybe like you. Your income will be project based. The percent of film makers that make a full time living solely from film making is 2-5%. To illustrate this statistic, you might not have any income for half a year because you had no project. Most projects generate no profits. You’d be doing a unique hobby that most people don’t have—it generates no income but you do it for fun when you have time.
