STEM vs Business – sizi gerçekten zengin yapan nedir?
Belirli bir tutkum yok, ama zengin olmak ve iyi bir yaşam tarzına sahip olmak istediğimi biliyorum. STEM/Sağlık Hizmetleri (Med/Diş Hekimliği/Pharm gibi) ve Business/Econ arasında bir şeye girmek arasında tartışıyorum.
Sağlık hizmetleri daha istikrarlı ve prestijli görünüyor, eğer dereceyi alırsanız, aslında bir şey olursunuz ve iyi para kazanırsınız. İş, başarılı olmak için sosyal becerilere ve ağ oluşturmaya ihtiyaç duyduğunuz gibi daha belirsiz hissediyor ve sadece derece fazla bir şey yapmıyor.
Diplomanın kendisinin, bağlantılara veya karizmaya güvenmeniz gerektiğinde değil, yüksek ücretli bir işe götürdüğü bir şey yapmayı tercih ederim. Ama aynı zamanda bir çalışan kalmanın sonsuza dek beni zenginleştirmeyeceğini biliyorum, bu yüzden sonunda kendim için çalışmak ya da bir şeyler sahibi olmak istiyorum.
Herhangi bir tavsiye var mı? Temel 9-5 değil, finansal özgürlük istiyorsanız hangi majör seçerdiniz?

At least in Southern California, pay and opportunities is quite good. It is a pretty flexible degree in terms of being able to work any in type of industry, since all businesses will have some kind of accounting work that needs to be done.
Allied health. If you want money, don’t be a doctor.
Radiology tech
Respiratory tech
Sonographer
Surgical tech
2 years of school and you are out making money.
Invest early and you will be rich.
I think there’s a lot of give and take that has to be done, especially in your early career. A flexible job may not pay well, and a high-paying job may not be flexible. You should determine what’s most important to you, and how much schooling you want to do.
To be rich quick if that is your goal, you need to dabble in business and that is not via a business /econ degree. Enterpreneurship is something you cant study. It is an extension of what you are really good at doing for someone else first, then be on you own. But then again like they say, business odds are 80 flops : 15 can do : 5 truly made it.
If your goal is to be comfortable and do reasonably well to do without much risk, yes medic is there. Dentistry / pharma will allow you to practice on your own with available startup funds.
You shoulda gone into AI 8 years ago and create some leading researching and innovation. Then Zuck will give you a $200m offer to work for him.
Be a dentist. Or something adjacent to that. Healthcare is where stability and money is at all the other ones are sort of a toss up.
Go for biological sciences like biology, biochemistry… you will have tons of opportunities and don’t have to stick to a 9am-5pm job if you want some flexibilities!
