Depending on what you’re majoring in, tutoring can earn a pretty penny. I tutored high schoolers and middle schoolers in maths (teaching another lanaguge is a good one). Can easily make 25 dollars an hour depending on a few factors.

I think you should focus more on finishing your associate degree before transferring. Your junior and senior years will be tough, so don’t lose sight of that to embed yourself too much into making money.
You can do summer internships or co-ops or do delivery (Ubereats) if you have a car during the weekends. But, other than that, focus on your education and cut down your expenses (you don’t need to buy new clothes/shoes every 3-6 months, get the cheapest phone plan you can get like boost mobile which is just $25mo, you can get discounts on your internet bill…). Your college should also help you with food pantry if you really need them.

Depends on your major, you can get a paid internship during the summer(in US) IDK about other countries.

(For example, in CS, there are paid internships during school and summers. They are all paid, from minimum wage to over 30plus for summers. In a summer can make 10k to cover the next yr. Ik in marketing, the pay in nonprofits was minimum wage.)

Google internships for jobs in your major, or ask family, relatives, friends parents, advisors, professors if there is a job for you.

Ask classmates or senior ppl you talk to for job opportunities and otjer advice. Usually someone knows something and can recommend you.

Experience is definitely necessary to get an entry level job.

(If you’re medically inclined, look to see if there medical assistant, EMT, phlebotomy jobs around your area.
My kid got an optician tech job through a team friend, got trained but had to work SAT and could work up to 21 hrs. In FL, got 18$ hr. Also went to training school for medical assistant for free but had to work a summer 6wks. Look at any medical facilities, his friends worked as supply tech in ER but also has to clear bedpans n clean stetchers.)
