Ne yapacağımı bilmiyorum
Üniversitedeki ilk dönemimi yeni bitirdim. En azını söylemek oldukça acımasızdı ve geri dönmekten korkuyorum. Bilgisayar bilimi alanında uzmanlaştım ve siber güvenlik alanında bir şeyler yapmak istediğimi düşündüm ama artık yapmak istediğim şeyin bu olduğunu düşünmüyorum. Evden uzakta olmaktan nefret ediyorum ve çok depresyona girdim ve sosyal kaygımla birlikte bu, şu ana kadar üniversite deneyimimi çok zorlaştırdı. Üniversiteye gitmeden önce bir BMW bayisinde hamal olarak çalışıyordum ve bu işi çok seviyordum, son derece mutluydum. Arabaları seviyorum ve araba kullanmayı seviyorum. Açıkçası hamallık geçinebileceğim bir iş değil. Arabayla ilgili, araştırılması iyi olabilecek bir şey bilen var mı? Ticaret okulu ve tamirci olma ihtimalini düşündüm ama insanların bu konuda olumsuz şeyler söylediğini de duydum. Planım önümüzdeki dönem gitmek çünkü yaklaşık 4 gün sonra başlıyor, başka bir şey için de planım yok henüz. Gelecek dönemin nasıl geçeceği kararımı büyük ölçüde etkileyecek. Sadece bazı olası yönlerin neler olduğunu merak ediyorum. Teşekkürler

Job market for CS grads is absolutely brutal right now, so many roles are being taken by AI or offshored. I read posts on here and r/careerguidance daily where CS grads are desperate for employment. I mean, it could be different in 2 or 4 years when you graduate, but right now the trends look pretty awful. If you love cars and are interested in automotive technology, look at local technical schools for auto tech or diesel mechanic programs, most public school tuition is quite affordable and the have lots of grants and scholarships available. In particular WIOA grants can cover some or all of tuition. Just make sure you’re avoiding for profit overpriced tech schools like UTI and similar. Good luck!
Mechanic is a dirty and strenous job and you work with a lot of personalities, but it’s a proper career path, and if you love cars that much, it makes total sense to go that direction. You can take community college classes to cover some of the requirements for lower division CS major while at the same time studying tk be a mechanic. Make your choice once you get the certificate/degree for Auto. You can continue on the mechanic route or transfer to university to complete your CS degree.
Totally get where you’re at. If you loved the dealership vibe, look into service advisor or parts advisor roles, they can pay better than porter and keep you around cars without wrenching. If you do want hands on, try an entry level lube tech or apprentice spot first before committing to a full mechanic program, you’ll learn whether you actually enjoy the day to day. You could also look at PDI jobs at dealerships, auction lot operations, or transport driving for local dealers. If you need income while you figure it out, w​fhal​ert is a simple service that emails legit remote jobs like customer support or admin work, nice for a stopgap without getting buried in scammy listings. Whatever you do next semester, use it as a test run, not a verdict on your whole future.
