Lighter Stuff:

I’m pretty sure that these are not the reason to start learning Turkish, but still, in order to cover everything, the list is given below:

  • Variations of idiot: salak, aptal, gerizekalı, embesil, gerzek, dangalak, mal(literally: cattle)
  • Offensive way of saying “rude guy”:

öküz(literally: ox), sığır(literally: beef), manda(literally: buffalo), eşek(literally: donkey), hayvan(literally: animal)

  • Invaluable person: it(literally: dog)

  • Bastard: piç
  • These are for men that never be jealous of their wives and female relatives: kavat / gavat / alagavat(exaggerated version of gavat)

Level of Slutiness:

kaşar<aşüfte<yosma<yelloz<şıllık<kevaşe<motor<sürtük<kaltak<fallik<orospu<fahişe

Highlighted ones are more commonly used in modern language.

The range of slutness starts from kaşar, and orospu is the most offensive of all.

For "orospu"; intensify the effect by stressing on and lengthening the "r" as much as you can

Homosexuality:

ibne<götveren<puşt

Any of these words are offensive even for real homosexuals. Meanings of all above are based on the main action of passive males.

Literal Meanings:

  • ibne: passive homosexual male
  • götveren: ass giving person
  • puşt: person who enjoys giving his ass

Being a Pimp:

Maybe it might sound somewhat cool in English, but in Turkish that is highly offensive.

  • The word is; pezevenk

Meaning is exactly the same as in English, but perception is totally different.

  • If someone is too brutal to be a human being, that person can be called as "ciğersiz pezevenk" (literal: pimp without a liver)

The “Dick”:

This is the point where all the creativity starts. According to your level of Turkish, you may end up creating unique and offensive stuff even by yourself because you can play with words like lego, and end up on adding many of them on the same phrase.

However, you, as the starter, should not worry, you will learn all the commonly used ones in this course. All examples from this chapter are leveled according to their impact from lowest() to higher levels()(**)…

Please remember that meanings of the examples are far more intense than their English translations.

There are two basic approach for the word “dick” as defined below;

In this case there is only one Turkish word to express this part, that is: am

Sounds just like the commonly used gap filler of English speakers; “umm…” Therefore, in Turkey aware of the fact that you can never think while making a sound like this.

Note that in some cases the root verb “koy-” is used instead of “sik-”. Normally, the verb “koy-” literally means “to put”, and in most cases this verb is safe innocent to use anywhere. However, a complete meaning change in this verb appears when used with nouns like “am”

While kıç itself is a rude word, it is not rude enough to be used in any phrase.

Ulan/Lan/La:

This is the very common Turkish gap filler. “lan” goes very well with all the phrases exercised in this text. “lan” can simply show friendship and honesty as well. An average Turkish speaker uses this word at least 20 times per day. Only rule is not to use this for elder people, and there is less than zero usage in any formal situation.

As you may notice on title, there are three variations, most common is “lan”, but coolest one is “la”, which originated from Ankara accent.

New info about the origin; intrinsically the word means adolescent male homosexual partner/prostitute, though nowadays in Anatolian Turkish it's used as a very formal appellative and an exclamation.

This word can be used in beginning or in the end.

Let’s have some examples;

  • la amına koyarım
  • götünü sikeyim la
  • la bi siktir git

If you study whole content in this guide very well, you can become a master of swearing in Turkish.
