What are your near terms goals and what are your near term needs? Sort those first. Like, do you need money or do you have a safe place where you can focus on resolving health issues?

If the goal is college, start at community college when you’re ready. Great place to go to start slow and increase your GPA. Can either get a targeted associates and hit the workforce or transfer to a 4 year from there.

Are you in High school? Have you talked to your parents, teachers, school support staff? Please ask for help. If you want to have a chance in life, now is the time to start practicing the skills you need; asking for help is your first step to success. You will not get to a better place on your own, no one does. Please seek support!

You should look into community college for 2 years and transferring to something like a state school to finish your degree.

Don’t beat yourself up too much, you can still achieve your goals.

Yes, you have a chance but remember not all paths look the same and not everyone judges success the same way.

If you think you really need a college degree to go into the field you want, pick up 2 years of community college locally and then transfer. Or go through CLEP.

But there are also trade schools and lots of other ways to have a great career. GPA typically has little to do with overall success in life.

Community college classes are the answer. No matter what though, you’re going to have to turn around the work ethic. As someone who has struggled MIGHTILY with mental health challenges myself I know that it seems hard, but if you want to succeed you’re going to have to find the will to do it. Make no mistake about it, you will feel internal resistance to doing so, but once you start making progress it’s going to get easier, and it’s going to get better. You’ve got this.

Yes, you have a chance as there are many with the same GPA, but then go on to master’s and doctorate degrees.

It was George Bush who said even a C student from Yale can be president.

You will be able to get into a college somewhere. You may have to start at a community college and then transfer, but trust me, you can do it.

Recent studies have shown that college degrees do not guarantee financial or job security. I graduated with a 2.333 , dropped out of college because I realized my major was useless, and now I make more money than some of my peers who did get degrees. Don’t beat yourself up too much over it.

Go to community college. Get your mental health issues treated (I have ADHD and always tell everyone to try medication at least once – it’s not for everyone but for me it was life changing and I avoided for such a long time because I didn’t think I “needed” it). Explore career paths. Buckle down and get good grades. Transfer to a school afterwards. Honestly even with good grades it’s the smart thing to do given how expensive college is these days.
