To be fair, the instructions that come with the game are hilariously vague. My booklet simply states: “You can touch the blocks to find a loose one” on the subject. I had to go online to find your subclause.

Somewhere I read there’s actually no official rule against steadying the whole tower with one hand, while you remove the block.
Also, the greatest battle tactic of all, is there’s no rule that says you have to put the block back neatly on the top. You can throw it on crossways and fuck the whole thing right up.
