İşimde mutsuz hissediyorum ve geleceğim hakkında depresif hissediyorum
21f, yakın zamanda kolejden mezun oldu. Mezun olduktan hemen sonra okul öncesi öğretmeni olarak bir iş çıkardım. İşimin kısımlarını seviyorum, ama hayatım boyunca yapmak istediğim şey bu değil. Ve eğer tüm hayatım boyunca yapmak istemiyorsam, neden şimdi yaptığımı bilmiyorum. Çoğu gün işte mutsuz ve aşırı uyarılmış hissediyorum. Ayrıca sadece saatte 17,25 dolar kazanıyorum. Ödeme faturalarım ve ödenecek öğrenci kredi borcum var. Kısa süre önce, idari müdür olarak farklı bir okulda bir iş için röportaj yaptım. Bana işi teklif ettiler, sadece arka plan kontrolümü ve çocuk bakımı sertifikalarımı işlemek için beklemem gerekiyor. Hala bazen çocuklarla bir sınıfta olmak zorundayım, ama işimin çoğu idari olurdu. İdari deneyimim olmadığı için sadece saatte 18 dolar kazanıyordum. Ama şimdi yaptığımdan biraz daha fazla. 130’dan fazla iş için başvurdum ve sadece birkaçını duydum. Başka röportajlar yapmadım. İş piyasası şu anda ABD’de korkunç.
Kendimi mutsuz hissediyorum. Yanlış dereceyi seçtiğimden endişeliyim, yanlış kariyeri seçtiğimden endişeliyim ve şimdi yapabileceğim pek bir şey olmadığını hissediyorum. Kendimi hayal kırıklığına uğratmış hissediyorum ve eşim ve ailem bana hayal kırıklığına uğramadıklarını garanti etse de, başkalarının da içimde hayal kırıklığına uğradığından endişeliyim. Sadece 21 yaşında olduğumu biliyorum ama işlerin nasıl gittiği ve dünyanın nasıl gittiği ile mahkum hissediyorum. Altı figür yapmama gerek yok ve bulmama gerek yok "Rüya İşi". Sadece bir masaya oturmak ve yaşayan bir ücret ödemek istiyorum. Sanırım en iyi bahse girerim yeni işi almak ve idari deneyim almak. Peki ya o işten nefret edersem? Ya sadece çalışmaktan nefret edersem?
20’li yaşlarındaki herkesin bunu kaybolduğunu veya yanlış bir şey yapıp yapmadığımı söyleyemem. Tavsiye aradığımı sanmıyorum, sanırım sadece bana deli olmadığımı söylemek için bu duyguyu anlayan birini arıyorum. Teşekkürler.

I’d say take the admin role. Being a preschool teacher is exhausting and you’ll at least be less burnt out at the end of the day to give yourself space to think. Plus you’d be building additional skills and learning more about yourself. I had no idea what I wanted at your age (in fact I was a miserable kindergarten teacher), but the main thing to do is to keep learning about yourself and take advantages of opportunities to learn and grow.
What other job fields do you find interesting? Also I wish they would stop telling people to do psychology majors because so many people do them and it overstated everything and there is not much you can do with that without any kind of furthering education. What specific job positions pique your interest? I would make a list of five positions that you are qualified for and then go look and see the amount of openings and job growth and then rank them from best to worst. Then spend time looking for those and tailoring your resume to reach one of those positions and submit it that way. It might help make it more organized for you and you can personalize your resume to sound the most flattering for each position. I am a nurse and we have no shortage of jobs but I went through a crisis myself. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Get organized and do some research.
Tons of people feel the same way, they just don’t talk about it out loud. That degree isn’t wasted, and neither is this admin role it’s just your first rung on the ladder, not the final destination. Most people bounce around jobs in their 20s before something sticks, and the fact that you’re already thinking about what doesn’t feel right means you’re ahead of a lot of people who coast for years.If the new job gives you a slight bump and admin experience, grab it, it’s a stepping stone, not a life sentence.
