İnsanlar ruh emme olmayan iş için ne yapar?
Bunun bir rant ya da yardım çığlığı olup olmadığından emin değilim ama işte burada.
Kendimi iÅŸlerim hakkında giderek umutsuz buluyorum. Son yıllarda, özellikle evden çalışmaya baÅŸladığımdan beri, yaptığım tüm bu iÅŸlerde tam anlamıyla sıfır nokta görüyorum. Orta/üst yönetimdeyim ve tam anlamıyla bir ‘saçmalık iÅŸinin’ tanımıdır (kitabı okumadıysanız, bir daha asla aynı olmayacaksınız). Bir yandan biraz rahat, aşırı çalışmıyorum, biraz esnek ve ofise gitmeme gerek yok. Öte yandan, rehin tutulduÄŸum gibi sıkışmış hissediyorum, sanki zamanım ve hayatım benden 40 saat boyunca Slack’te yeÅŸil kalmış gibi çalınmış gibi. Çok ayrıcalıklı bir sorun, biliyorum, ama yine de kafamla uÄŸraşıyor. Süzülmüş, ilgisiz ve sınırda intihar hissediyorum. Bir çeÅŸit hapishanede olduÄŸumu hissediyorum.
Bu yüzden insanların başka ne yaptığını düşünüyordum, ancak biraz daha tatmin edici hissediyor ve ideal olarak ekranın önünde 40 saat oturmayı gerektirmiyor mu?
Gastronomi içinde çalışmayı tuhaf bir şekilde özledim, ancak şu anki kurulumumla yaşayamazdım. Nasıl etkileyici olacağımı bilmiyorum ve şeker babası aramak için çok yaşlıyım. Koçluk aklımı geçti, ama bugünlerde herkes koç değil mi?

NOTHING.. enjoying work or “doing what you love” is a hoax on the working the class.. You work to do or get what you love. Which for me is food, sleep and sex. Ask yourself what job would you do if you have 10 million in savings.
I think once you HAVE to do something for money it becomes soul sucking . Like imagine being a porn star. Sounds fun. Get paid to have sex. But I’m sure it sucks after the first few times
I don’t know the answer. There are people who work doing a job they love and there are people who work a job that gives them more autonomy to make their own schedule and travel more often. You can love a job that gives you a lifestyle and balance you aspire for. I think the secret is finding something with that balance. I also don’t buy that you don’t need to be doing something you have some love for. Burnout comes a lot sooner for people working in areas they have no passion for.
Personally, I think opening your own business will have the most reward. You will work like a dog and be liable, but you also make the rules and reap the rewards.
Aside from that, you really need to find what things you love doing and see if any job encompasses those things. The answer will be vastly different for everyone.

Your comment: “40h of staying green on Slack” made me ROFL. I have been out of corporate for over a year, and that still triggers me LOL.
I was thrust into corporate burnout and trauma at the beginning of my career and have had five pivots since. Trust me when I say, THIS DOES NOT HAVE TO BE YOUR REALITY. The longer you work in a soul sucking job, you will eventually burn out, develop chronic health problems, and/or fragile mental health. No job is worth your sanity and happiness. Take it from someone who spent almost 3 years digging myself out.
What is keeping you from pursuing Gastronomy?
public service. pick your flavor. might be a step down in pay but it’s often worth it to drop the corporate bs.
