The issue isn’t living with your parents. A lack of education and experience severely shortens the list of no prospects. Are you in school for something right now? Your best bet if you just want money is to go get a certification. 3-6 months and you can get a cert for a job that always needs workers.
I would start small and look for local places hiring. Walmart? Retail? Grocery Store? Pet Store? Host/ess for any restaurant? McDonalds? Amazon Warehouse? Local food Co-op? Know any friends or family that do roofing or a trade? Ask them if they need a hand. Most people of these places are just looking for help from just about anyone. As long you try you’ll be fine and find something eventually

Of course they will. Start low, fast food, retail, shit like that. Or ball out and go do some manual labor. Landscaping, concrete, painting homes, roofing, those are some relatively easier positions to land, they’ll train you on the fly a lot of the time too.
Explain your circumstances, and maintain a relatively positive attitude, and you’ll start to figure things out pretty damn quick.
Also, I’m a dude who enlisted around your age. I was strung out on dope and horrible jobs. It saved my life. Not for everyone, but worth considering, the benefits are the best in the world. Especially given you say you like to gym, sounds like something possibly up your alley.
Jobs don’t care where you live.
At your age no one cares that you are living at home. That’s normal. As long as you have access to a car, most employers want to know you’ll be able to get to work reliably.
Honestly, just get a part/ full-time job and see if you like it. Or try and see if you want to go to university and save up for that. At minimum, you need to start making your own money, asking your parents for money at 20 aignt cutting it. Also, im 25 living with my parents it just makes sense right now for me, nothing to be ashamed of there.
Go hit up local community college or trade school programs and go straight to plumbing/hvac/electrical make real money within two years and some education. I wasted too many years dealing with shitty well’ish paying foodservice its not worth it. Dont go to college, go to trade work and make your week of work net you a thousand dollars easily
Yes. If you don’t want to work in retail or a restaurant, try a warehouse or stocking shelves in a grocery store at night. If you’re outgoing and like to talk, you could try an entry level sales job.
Go apply to video games stores and electronic stores. Start volunteering to build experience and professional references that you can call upon. Present in a friendly way and explain you can learn new skills. Someone may take a chance. Highlight technical skills by demonstrating what computer programs you can use beyond video games to show you can learn programs you’re not familiar with
Bro I’m 28 and still live with my parents, you don’t gotta “ngl” about anything lol. Ain’t no shame in it, and I have a decent career going.
Living with family can be good for you and them financially. No reason to hand your money over to someone else unless you’re certain moving out is a good option or idea at the moment for you
Depending on what state you live in, you could go to a 2-year community college or do 2+2 program since you’d get financial aid and Tap (NY) to cover your college tuition (depends on your parents income tho)
Or you could go for a trade if you prefer that
Now for a job, literally go for anything you think you can handle or are willing to learn it. It’s typically easier to find another job when you have a job. So go for anything in my opinion and study on the side to gain knowledge and expand your skills
DO NOT GO FOR A USELESS DEGREE, get something that lands you a job like nursing (it’s hard) radiology tech, medical tech, paramedic, HVAC, etc etc etc.
You can go with other degrees like business admin etc, but you need to know what you want as a specialization, like accounting, marketing etc.
Tho personally I went business admin, I have a job, but I’m going back to school for nursing so I can have a degree that lands me a job anywhere I go
You need to go into the world and try things and fail a few times. Decide the next step, education, training, etc and go from there. I don’t know anyone who had their lives mapped at 20. You’ll be fine.
I mean, depends. Get *something* so you can make money for your hobbies. If you don’t have a housing payment, start part time. Restaurants, retail, grocery, etc. There should be some sort of entry level position available, but I’ve heard the job market is tough right now.
Long term is great to start planning for, and action where you can, but you could work a part time job in the meanwhile and make money/gain experience for what you actually want to go for. Trade school, college, whatever sounds most interesting and has upward momentum. Likelihood is tho you’ll need some sort of fund for licensing or education.
Don’t be ashamed of leaving a job for a better opportunity no matter how long you work there. 2 months? Byyyeeee. If that’s how long it takes you to find something you’re actually interested in, then great!
Look up trade schools near you. You could also apprentice for a tradesman. Welding, electrical, plumbing, etc. these jobs can pay big bucks.
dishwasher, bus boy, delivery
Go work at a restaurant. It’ll teach you a lot about life and they will hire you without experience. You might just have to work up to being a server. Start as a host, expo, or busser
The retail and food service type jobs will take you seriously. In college I worked at an Aldi and later U-Haul and those were decent experiences for that type of work. I’ve heard food service is terrible.
Then you can figure out if you want to go into a trade, become certified in something, or get an associates degree.
I have a friend who just retired as a long haul trucker. They need people and hire a variety of people without experience. It pays very well.
There’s nothing wrong with living with your parents. Stay & save for as long as you can. Keep applying to all the jobs, you will land something.
I became a certified nursing assistant and found unlimited employment, no one cared about my lack of experience
Employers don’t give a fuck you live with parents lol why would they omg
Join the military and grow up
