Felsefe + matematik okursam gerçekten açlıktan ölür müyüm?

Bunu söyleyen pek çok insan artı pek çok insan kendini BT’ye kaptırıyor (Gerçekten yollarını nasıl değiştirdiklerini anlamıyorum)

No. Depends on where you go to school, what internships you take, and where you ultimately want to go that will impact your starvation level.

Teaching doesn’t make great money, but I doubt you’ll starve.

Not of you change that around to math + philosophy. Listen, it’s never a bad idea to be educated. An undergraduate degree teaches you to think critically, what you major in is less important than just getting that degree and training your brain in whatever field. Once you have your degree l, you’ve jumped i to a different stratum in society- this is part of what getting a degree is all about.

The only exception to this, possibly, is if you intend to go to grad school. In some cases- though, importantly, not all- your undergraduate focus gives you necessary prerequisites.

Study whatever will drive your passion strongly enough that you are able to keep your GPA as high as it can be. If you do that, then you not only get a degree, but you unlock lots of options.

The math degree will most likely save you from starving as long as it’s the main one.

A philosophy major I went to school with now works in fraud detection at a major corporation. IMO humanities & liberal arts majors ave a little trouble initially finding a job, because you are not directly prepared for any specific job, but actually do quite well long term because critical thinking, writing, and the ability to actually discuss an idea in depth is basically always needed.

I think studying philosophy + math would be just fine. I think you should also talk to the career center at your college early and often to identify career tracks and internships that might be interesting to you. Also, I suspect that majors like philosophy, English, History, etc. will actually become more important as AI advances. To use AI well, what is really needed is a strong, precise prompt…so very well developed writing skills.

Try it and report back in 20 years?

No, you probably won’t starve. But if you are truly worried about it, just take math by itself and turn philosophy into a hobby

Philosophy has a high unemployment rate but math majors have good ROI on their degrees. I don’t know what kind of degree combinations you’re considering but you’ll get more out of one that emphasizes the math, like a math major and philosophy minor for instance.

I would study math and put philosophy as a minor.
