Ben deli miyim?
Ben(18K) üniversiteye gitmeme gerek olmadığı gerçeÄŸini kabul edecek ÅŸekilde zihniyetimi ayarlamakta zorlanıyorum. Okulda 4.0 not ortalaması, 4.6 ağırlıklı not ortalaması ve 1490 SAT aldım.

sounds like you know what you want. college isn’t the only path. go travel, see the world.
College is certainly not for everyone. If time is what you need, see if either institution you received a full ride from will allow you to defer your acceptance. That said, a degree without debt can open lots of doors. Many universities allow you to apply scholarships to study abroad tuition. Depending on the program and their policies, you may be able to use your scholarships to spend 1+ semesters abroad (which could offset living expenses and greatly reduce the out-of-pocket costs, in comparison to just traveling yourself). I am not familiar with zell miller, but it sounds like you have lots of options-which is a GREAT problem to have! Congratulations on your acceptances and accomplishments!
You mean delay the rat race, but I guess that is what I did too.
I was in no rush to leave college. I took the summer off and in my last semester I only took one class I needed to graduate.
For me, even with my 2.5 GPA I ended up hitting it big in time.
My case isn’t normal though..
No you’re not batty, you just have big dreams.
My only advice is trying to teach english and taking care of kids in your own country and see how you do, as far as I know it is a hard and tough job.
How do you plan to not stress about money, when you’ll need money to travel? You can’t just drop into another country and work; other countries require sponsorship as well, and no one is going to sponsor an 18 year old with no college education and no experience. Even teaching English abroad is going to require you to have a college degree
You’re not crazy – you’re just 18 and confusing freedom with progress.
Travel doesn’t make writers. Writing makes writers. You can be an au pair in Italy and still have zero pages finished. Location won’t solve a discipline problem.
**On Zell Miller:** “I’ll use it later” is how good options quietly disappear. Be careful with that.
Take one gap year. Be an au pair. But commit to writing 500 words daily no matter what. Finish something – a draft, a collection, anything. That year will tell you more about yourself than any college decision will.
Then decide on college with real evidence, not feelings.
You don’t have a college problem. You have a clarity problem. Go get the clarity – but don’t mistake movement for progress.
