   I deeply regret getting a computer science degree. I should have gone into engineering or something that’s actually employable.

   Computer science is very over saturated and probably not worth it. My engineering degree has opened so many doors, I have recruiters reaching out to me weekly. Wherever you got the idea that nobody can get a job is complete bullshit. Get out in the real world and try.

   This only true to a certain extent. Degrees are more valuable for progression than you realise. However yes you’re right it’s hard to land a job. This is because it’s all about connections, if you know someone you are more likely to get an entry into the industry – based on my personal experience.

   That doesn’t mean your degree is not the effort.

   You’re over generalizing. Not all people can’t find jobs, many can and do. I know several in fields from physical therapy to HR to library science to software engineering who have found good jobs. Yes it’s difficult, but it is happening.
