Almanya’da bilgisayar mühendisliğinin son sınıfındayım ama teknoloji ya da ofiste çalışmayı sevmiyorum ve çalışmak istemiyorum
Merhaba, başlık her şeyi açıklıyor, 23 yaşındayım ve kariyer adım Almanca technische informatik ve son yılımı okuyorum ancak donanım işlerine (aynı zamanda yazılım ngl) 0 ilgim var. Bunu sadece para için yaptım ama sonra öğrendim ki Almanya’da neredeyse hiç iş yok ve CS veya CE’ler çok pişiyor. Staj yaptım ve bundan hiç hoşlanmadım, öyleydi ama yaptığım işe 0 ilgim vardı.
Üniversiteyi bir yıl daha idare edebileceğimi düşünüyorum ama mezun olduktan sonra ne yapacağımı bilmiyorum, programcılıktan ve ofis işlerinden hoşlanmıyorum, hapishane gibi geliyor ve memleketime dönmek istemiyorum çünkü daha da kötü. İnsanlar neredeyse işim bittiği ve öğrenci olarak çalışan bir işim olduğu için mutlu olmam gerektiğini söylüyorlar, ama dürüst olmak gerekirse çok perişan durumdayım, tek umursadığım şey para, ama görünen o ki neredeyse hiç iş yok ve mezuniyetten sonra rekabet aşırı. Ve asıl işler, üst düzey tipte olmanızı ve 100’lerce çerçeveyi, programlama dilini ve neredeyse hiç ilgi duymadığım şeylerin uzun bir listesini bilmenizi gerektirir. Dürüst olmak gerekirse, keşke bir berber ya da güvenlik görevlisi olabilseydim, onun yaptığı tek şey güvenlik görüntülerini izlerken art arda Netflix izlemek ve bir sürü para kazanmaktı. Aslında öyle insanlar var ama başarılı olmak için 10 kat daha fazla çaba harcamam gerekiyormuş gibi geliyor, gerçekten ne yapacağımı bilmiyorum.
Tbh, sadece kolay bir iş ve düşük stres istiyorum, yoksulluktan kurtulmam ve ülkemde aileme borç ödeme konusunda yardım etmem gerekiyor. Ancak yavaş yavaş umudumu kaybediyorum ve üniversiteden şimdiden nefret ediyorum, çalışma dünyası daha da kötü olurdu. Benim için en iyi mesleğin ne olduğunu bilmiyorum. Kelimenin tam anlamıyla 50 bin, kendi ülkemdeki hayatımı çözerdi ama bunu en kısa sürede nasıl kazanacağımı bilmiyorum.

Unfortunately, there is no “easy job” and even being a barber or security guard have their pros and cons, money aside. Did you know, I heard from my barber, human hair from your clients can embed itself in your skin and cause like sores? Not to mention standing around and cutting hair all the time. Also, always having to pull in clients to work. Being paid per customer rather than by hour, etc. And a security guard is just like an office job, and your life may even be at risk. Most of the time, you won’t be allowed to “binge Netflix” on site if your supervisor is nearby.
Unfortunately, there is no “realistic” solution there. There is not shortcut I’m afraid.
Do you have passion for the actual topic of computer engineering? If so, what about toughing it out for a bit with some work experience, and then applying for grad school and going into academia or teaching?
What about going to trade school again and learning a trade?
Just pick a major you like then or stick with it
If you wish to lay your hands on good money, you need qualifications that enable you to do work above the crowd. It is demand and supply, pecking order or just plain food chain. I have seen many hardworkers who arent rich, but i havent seen a rich man who isnt a hardworker. I didnt say this originally.
My friend went straight to a Masters in Library Sciences after getting her Mechanical Engineering degree and is about a million times happier than she would have been in manufacturing. It’s not uncommon to be wrong about what you think you should do with your life when you make these decisions at 18. Poverty escape is made with regular payments over time. Making huge amounts of money is often not as easy, or the answer you think. Long hours, and then your lifestyle ramps up to where you have the same amount left over as if you worked a lower pay job with less hours but more happiness. Just keep moving forward, finish school, take whatever job you can get and sort out what you want to do next.
I also had a very similar situation – I am a foreign student in Germany, not citizen of European Union and had burnout during studying. After studying I did Ausbildung in a job where nobody wants to work. Now I can work in jobs which I like without any stress with authorities.
You are still very young and have a very precious resource which a lot of people don’t have – time. Just make Ausbildung, get permanent residence and everything will be fine 🙂
