33 ila yaşlı mı?
Daha sonra hem hemşirelik veya radyoloji alanında bir program başlatmak için okula geri dönmeyi düşünüyordum. İşten dolayı tam zamanlı yapamam nedeniyle zaman alacağını biliyorum ama bence hazırım. Esnek bir işteyim ve eminim benimle çalışmaya hazırım, bu yüzden şimdiden daha iyi bir zaman düşünmedim. Ama AS’mi tamamlamayı bitirdiğim zaman ve sonra en muhtemel 2 yıllık bir programa başlamak zorunda olduğum zaman sonsuza dek sürecek gibi hissediyorum. Cesaretsiz hissediyorum. Sadece sonsuza dek aynı yerde kalmak ya da bu konuda bir şeyler yapmak dışında gerçek bir kariyer gelişimi olmadan işimle yerleşiyor muyum?

Those years will come and go no matter what you decide.
Your decision is do you want to remember them as long hard years if achieving something, or relaxed, comfortable years grinding out against the same rock. The world will always need people with those skills. You’re going to lose the time if you do, or if you don’t. Make it count buddy.

No, some of the best nurses I’ve ever worked with went to school later in life.
I know or two individuals who attended medical school over the age of 50. 33 is plenty young enough to finish school and work an entire career.
I am 35 and going to school for nursing. I am not even the oldest. And my study group is awesome. A tip I have is stay away from the students who freak out over every little thing. My group is a wide variety of ages, but we all believe in ourselves and each other and we get a bit nervous over exams, but no nervous breakdowns here.
I started my masters at 46. I knew it would take me 5 years.‘I remember a friend asking “how old are you going to be when you get that degree?”.
My answer was “in five years I’ll be 51, whether I get the degree or not.. if I go back, I’ll be 61 with a Masters, if I don’t go back to school, I’ll be 51 without a Masters”.
I went back to school at 50. You’re definitely not too old.
In two years you are going to be contemplating this again. Might as well start now and never look back. Schooling isn’t really hard for radiology but the clinicals are brutal. You have to spend two summers doing them in addition to the fall/spring ones.
I started medical school at 36. I’m now a few months from graduating residency in my early 40s.
Did it with two kids and a spouse.
It’s never too late.
You’re going to get older either way. You get to choose to be older *with a degree* and potentially a fulfilling career. Do it for those of us that are too poor 💜
