32 yaşında, kurumsal kariyerlerden nefret ediyor ve DJ/müzik yapımcısı olmak istiyor. Ben hayal görüyor muyum?
Bu noktaya kadar oldukça ağır bir depresyondaydım ve hayatımla ilgili hayal kırıklığı yaşadım. Pazarlama diplomam var ve pazarlama, satış, otelcilik, yazarlık alanlarında işler yaptım ve dürüst olmak gerekirse hepsinden nefret ediyorum.
Kurumsal dünyayı/kötülük yarışını/ofis politikalarını/yöneticilere rapor vermeyi sevmiyorum.
Çok sayıda kariyer/kişilik testi denedim ve hiçbir geleneksel kariyer beni gerçekten ilgilendirmedi.
Gerçekten yapmayı çok istediğim tek şey DJ/elektronik müzik yapımcısı olmak.
Küçüklüğümden beri müziÄŸe ilgim vardı. Çocukken gitar/davul/klavye çalmayı denedim ama buna baÄŸlı kalmadım. Windows Movie Maker’da ÅŸarkıların birkaç saçma remiksini yaptım. Ciddi bir ÅŸey yok ama genç yaÅŸlardan itibaren ilgi iÅŸaretleri vardı.
Artık elektronik müziği, etkinliklere gitmeyi, müzik dinlemeyi hâlâ seviyorum. Ben de partilerde insanlara müzik çalmayı ve onların bundan keyif aldıklarını görmeyi seviyorum.
Eğer istediğimi elde edebilseydim, müzik üretip çalarak geçimimi sağlayabilseydim sanırım bu beni mutlu ederdi. Bunu yapabileceğimi düşünebildiğim tek şey bu.
Ama 32 yaşındayım. Müzik eğitimi/prodüksiyon bilgisi olmayan bir yerden başlıyorum.
Bunu düşündüğüm için hayal görüyor muyum? Yoksa gerçekten kafama koyarsam bu ulaşılabilir bir hedef midir?

Yes, you are delusional, but in a good way. You feel how most of the world feels about a hobby. Don’t quit your day job, do it on the side and if you have enough passion for it that will be every available moment. If you are any good at it, it will become a path. Otherwise just use it as an outlet for the frustrations of corporate life.
most people that do this type of work, are doing it as a side job, which is what i recommend you do. start as a hobby and then see if you can grow.
Feel same about the cooperate jobs. People say you just have to find the right fit, but they are all bullshit to me.
With the DJing and so on, just start! Get a copy of Logic X, some cheap USB decks, and start learning.Â

The music business thing in my opinion should be more of hobby. When I was involved I was a promoter.
Without friends like promoters and such you’ll never get to spin the parties you want.
Even when my artists did my wife and I were turned off by the lifestyle in time.
don’t quit your day job
So you want to leave your corporate job to become unemployed. Got it.

You are feeling the same way that basically everyone else feels about their favorite hobbies. We would all love to quit our corporate jobs and ride off into the sunset doing what we do in our free time but that simply won’t be the case for 99% of us.
That being said, it’s your life. Do what makes you happy BUT be prepared for it to backfire heavily if it doesn’t succeed. What I mean by this is your music career going nowhere, going into debt when you don’t have enough money for the bills, and being years (or whatever time you spend on this) behind your current career if it doesn’t work out.
