This is probably a question better suited for a back injury or chronic pain sub. I’m sure there’ll be people there who resonate with your injuries and offer better guidance.

That said, I have some health issues of my own that can affect my daily life at times so I can understand to an extent. One thing to remind yourself of is that you’re in physical therapy – you’re actively involved in improving the situation at the guidance of medical professionals who believe that action can improve the situation. There’s some hope for improvement/healing there alone. Another thing, and I am no doctor, but from what I’ve read in researching my own issues is that disc injury outcomes are much better the younger you are, so there’s more going your way as you’re very young. Think of all the things in your edit that you have to be grateful for. I know that our health is so fundamental to who we are and how we live life and that once it starts to decline, we can’t see all of the other positive things because the pain and lacking quality of life is in our face 24/7. There’s a lot of hope to be extracted from just being grateful over the smallest things on a daily basis. Lastly, remember that everything in life is just temporary and to live your life one day at a time. By that I mean try to stay present and don’t drift off into the future mentally worrying about your condition or how it’ll affect your life. Just try to get through each day.

Best of luck my friend & I hope you can find the answers you need here or elsewhere.
