However, aligning your content with words IT CAN rank for (aka latent topical authority) can increase rank.
Some ground rules:
1. Each phrase has a rank position where it gets clicks: which could be 1, 1-3 or 1-30 (e.g. high volume phrases). E.g. you land here and hope your amazing writing works but if you dont, the best writing in the world won’t help because…unseen words make no impact (a tree makes no sound if nobody is there to hear it fall)
2. You understand;/learn targeting and republish or re-tweak. If you’re changing the doucment name/slug – you’re republishing and re-targetiung
3. Learning that authority only flows from both internal and external links = shapes your on-site SEO to help your page rank
4. SEO is not primary school – you dont get points for showing your working out or doing x,y,z – you get points for completing the variables in the algorithm : relevance and authority
4. Slugs are crucial to low authority sites – people who tell you you dont have to worry about it are people that have the luxury of working on hi authority sites who dont have to worry about getting authority and form truly weird views of how SEO works
If I were you, I’d work on new content.

I’d create content that increases my sales only, and, link to them like there is no tomorrow.
