One thing it seems that so many skip…
Spend some time and learning about search by actually searching for things. Imagine you’re a person who has a problem that your product will solve, and go try to find one. Look at the nature of the results – AI overviews? Other enhanced features? What types of sites are in the 10 Blue Links.
Search for information on SEO – but instead of just jumping right into the article you found – really pay attention to how you got there. What did you have to go through?
Learning about and thinking about things from the searcher perspective is the BEST way to know exactly how you need to position yourself for each of those steps and then you can start figuring out which SEO methods you can use to help optimize delivery of the messages you want to send out and be found for.

Most days you could review one article and improve it a bit; add clearer headings, answer the main question earlier in the page, or include a few related questions people search for.
You could also check Google Search Console to see which queries are bringing impressions and tweak the page to better match those.
SEO tends to compound from lots of small improvements over time, so even updating one page a day can make a difference after a few months.
Publish content consistently. If you don’t have time to write consistently, write a big batch once a month and release it over the course of the next few weeks.
Also, don’t forget to go back and refresh old content! Ideally you’re writing things that are evergreen, but if you have a piece of content that *was* doing well and now it’s starting to dip, go back and freshen it up. It should help.

Don’t rely on ChatGPT to do your keyword research. Use a keyword research tool, Mangools is pretty cheap and easy to use for a beginner.
Sometimes I’ll do some googling first before I jump into a keyword tool, so that I can see what is being auto suggested or in the people also search box.
Create a list of keywords with some search volume (I go for less then 1,000 for new sites) and low difficulty (less then 30).
I personal prefer Claude to help flush out written content. You can use voice to text to brain dump the article and then have Claude help you edit the copy.
