   SEOs didn’t create PageRank

   Unfortunately Authority is external – not sure why people keep trying to push the idea that you can be objectively better than everyone else or that google can know in advance that people will like content that hasn’t yet been written.

   I’m sorry that all of the SEO tools calculate the value of the backlinks to those sites and thats how they score the Keyword Difficulty and it works – and people target low KD scores and it works.

   I think its unfair for people who wokr on sites with authority to tell people who aren’t ranking that its their fault for not writing great content without having ever read it.

   Authority is a primary cause of ranking.

   Ranking is a primary cause of traffic.

   But you can rank just fine with low authority; as long as you still have more than the competition.
