To be honest SEO is not for the one who are starting out;
you have to focus on Google Ads and build strong in-person connections by networking
When you reach a certain level, you have to focus on SEO and outranking the competition.

Nah man, you don’t need a SEO guy until and unless you have enough revenue to hire one and not bother about seeing results for the next few months at least, even then visitors -> revenue is not guaranteed.

The price range can vary a lot because ‘SEO’ is an umbrella term. Are you paying for technical fixes, content creation, or digital PR?
Generally, for a small businesses I would expect some variation (roughly) of:
Consulting: $100–$300/hr
Monthly Retainer: $1k+ (anything less is usually automated ‘junk’ SEO).
Since you mentioned sales are low, you might actually have a conversion problem rather than just a traffic problem. I’m happy to look at your URL and give you a gut-check on which one is the bigger bottleneck. Shoot me a DM if you want an extra set of eyes on it.
