Öte yandan, SEO konusunda neredeyse hiçbir fikri olmayan ve hala bizim raporlayıcımız olan kurumsal CMO’ları bile gördüm.

I make sure to let my client know what i am doing and why am i doing that particular thing. Till this date, haven’t had a client leave me just caus they think they know SEO now.

My boss thinks he knows, after some years I stopped doing things right because he used to delete this or that without even asking, change titles, url. Now he hired a SEO agency because “we don’t know”
Worst case scenarios for both:
A client who thinks they know a few SEO concepts and will tell you how to do your job and have unrealistic expectations;
Vs
a know-nothing client who may have unrealistic expectations.
So between the two I’d take the know-nothing client any day.
SEO doesnt matter unless it’s generating sales. That’s what execs and stakeholders want to know.
Nothing you mentioned in here matters to any client I’ve actually worked with.
They might say they care, but when you drill down to it, they want leads and sales. That’s it.
Speak to that and you never have to worry about digging into too much.
