Surfer is Pseudo-science – you can use data from GSC and add content to pages as they grow in ranking…..
I still use it and I find it very good. The go with the time and adapt. Surfer is looking now for AI search results and recommend topics to cover.
It’s a correlation tool. It can give you some useful data points. I like POP better, and Cora even better than that. Cora is definitely not for everyone. It’s probably too much data.
Alternatively, these days you can pretty much build something in Claude AI that will do a lot (if not all) of the same stuff for you.

Tried it once. Wasn’t worth the money.
No. It’s too expensive. The results were mixed, and it took a lot more time than expected to produce a good piece of content.

I’ve tried many, and they are usually a substitute for scale. Like: hey, I think what will sort my issues is scaling, but how can I do that and do all the research. In the end, there isn’t really a substitute for reading the page, vac data etc and optimising yourself. Don’t cheat, it’s a marathon not a sprint, you’ll usually get better results when you do it by hand imo
