I’d say SEMRush’s beginner course gives a pretty good basic overview on SEO principles
Here’s the great news: despite all the hoo-ha about “writing for SEO’ is that you’re writing for people.
Mainly because search engines are content agnostic – i.e. the content doesnt rank itself. Every document is making the same claim; therefore the document itself isnt the evidence for the document (Aristotle actually: begs the question – maybe you[re familiar with this often misunderstood quote?)
But Google cannot have a preferred content standard or quality or structure: else …. well it would have huge ramifications:
1. It would stifle content innovation
2. It would make the world a very boring place (Gary Ylles echoed this too)
This isn’t why; these are just things to consider
The thing about SEO and criticl thinking is that you can’t just Google a theory, you have to Google the corollary : Google have debunked all of the copywriter myths but Bernards camp marches on.
I’m not saying I dont value Copywriting SEO. But your page simply cannot be better to all people – its preposterous. Its even more preposterous that people think Google knows everything. If it does, what is your gf going to write about?
