B2B SEO konusunda deneyimli biriyim.

Local SEO: you are focused on keywords with a specific location.
B2B SEO: there is no location focus needed.
The main difference, in my opinion, is that in B2B you focus on volume, complex content, and longer funnels, while in local/physical businesses, the priority is being found by the right people at the right time. Google Business Profiles, citations, and reviews are essential, but then local relevance comes into play: geo-specific keywords, landing pages for specific areas or services, and content that addresses the real problems of local customers.
Basically, in B2B, you can build authority with whitepapers, backlinks, and in-depth articles, while in local/physical businesses, you need immediate optimization for search and trust, as well as practical tools like events, local collaborations, or targeted promotions.
I personally also work with local businesses like this, and, in addition to technical SEO, I often see that a practical and targeted approach yields more concrete results than a complex B2B strategy.
you want to do a lot to point to the address so Google will show it when someone locally searches. also the Google Business and reviews are important, as well as showing up in Google Maps. directory backlinks with address and url are an easy way to get rocking while making search the city/state are apparent on the site. vs. my sites that have no brick and mortar so we don’t really even have the full address on the site
# 1. Location Authority
Physical location is a form of authority restricted to Maps
This authority can be worth 10k clicks a month or more
It also detracts from regular desktop authority by killing CTR
The “local” part becomes very important. So same general principles around building topical relevance / authority, but zoomed into a local scale. Can be a lot harder imo. What will really move the needle is real local links and real local job proof both onsite (portfolio entries) and offsite (press links etc). In my experience, national info intent blog articles don’t help local rankings at all. Once generated 10k/month national blog traffic on a single niche-relevant article. Didn’t help local money keywords or their business at all tho.. if blogging, try to find relevant topics with volume that contain +location +niche-relevant info topic” in the phrase. Ie “plumber cost nyc” or “best type of grass for Nevada”… real local links from real local businesses are so so hard to get but lots of times about the only thing that moves the needle. So work closely with the customer (as a contractor) or do it yourself (in house) to network with local customers, business partners, press etc
Coming from B2B, the biggest shock is usually the intent and the “speed” of the lead.
In B2B, you’re used to long cycles, whitepapers, and convincing a whole committee. With Local SEO, people usually need something right now. If their sink is leaking or they need a haircut, they aren’t looking for a 20-page case study. They want to see reviews, photos, and a clear way to contact the business immediately.
Knowing the competition, the UVD’s of each, what brings them traffic, what low KD opportunities there are of that traffic. Associations with local events, businesses, publications, etc. Identifying common comp offers & upping those offers with something better if you do ads/funnels at some point. Gotta stand out just like b2b, but with more gusto when people are loyal to locals. Think about why you call the people you do and what makes you call them back? Reputation, right? Brand awareness and trust. It’s ALL about the customer journey. They need to have an immediate response or their onto the competitor. Reviews, reviews, reviews. And quick replies with keywords in the reviews lol. Look up stats having to do with everything GBP and SERP related in terms of local/service-based biz.
