Yeni mezun oldum. Åžimdi ne olacak?
Geçen hafta Görsel Sanatlar bölümünden lisans derecesiyle mezun oldum. 23F’im, yakında 24 olacağım ve buradan nereye gideceÄŸime dair kesinlikle hiçbir fikrim yok. Åžu anda perakende çalışıyorum, evde yaşıyorum ve üniversitedeyken herhangi bir staja katılmadım (bunun için her gün kendimi azarladım). Neyin iÅŸe yaradığını görmek için bir dizi farklı iÅŸe baÅŸvurmayı sürdürmeyi ve bu arada bir galeride veya resepsiyonist olarak bir pozisyon bulmayı umuyorum. Kendimi aşırı derecede sıkışmış, bunalmış ve daha iyi maaÅŸlı bir iÅŸ bulma konusunda baskı altında hissediyorum. Sanki kovalanıyormuÅŸum ve zamanım tükeniyormuÅŸ gibi hissediyorum, o kadar ki bu beni felç ediyor. Görsel sanatlarda uzmanlaÅŸtığım için bile piÅŸmanlık duyuyorum (sanatı her zaman sevmiÅŸ olmama raÄŸmen), ama yine de bu olmasaydı baÅŸka hangi alanda uzmanlaÅŸacağıma dair hiçbir fikrim yok. Networking you’ll need to do a ton of networking
If future ability to earn decent money is important to you, I would go ahead and knock out some kind of professional skill training right now while you work retail. The longer you wait, the harder it is to go back.
Some potentials are dental hygienic tech, rad tech, phlebotomy, surveyor, surgical tech, auto tech, CDL. Your local community college should have most of those options.
Alternatively you might look into jumping into alternate route teaching if your area is in need of teachers. Most states hire bachelor’s of anything and let you work while you do the certification course.
Showcase your art on youtube or any social platform in a way to do something on the side. Who knows, maybe your digital portfolio will take off while you network and look for jobs as your main goal. Not sure what else can be used in visual arts but I’m sure there’s something out there that will check off the box for a degree for something entry level.
I just tried to catch on with whatever corporation I could when I was your age and I did.
Clothing stores can have issues finding the right people to become visual managers creating displays and dressing mannequins. As an SM I had my hands in every job and my visual people liked the work they did.
It was a way to be creative and get breaks from customers and such.
