Writing without common marks is not art. It’s a parlor trick.

Writing is art. A calling. But many folks ruin it. Such groups want a difficult path. A harsh road. Such authors want to show off. A typist might say, "I will not adopt that symbol." Which symbol? That most common unit. Why? For glory? For clout? It is simply foolish.
Think about it. Our lingo is vast. It has many sounds. Why banish a sound? It is akin to a pianist who cuts off a thumb. Or an artist who burns crimson paint. It limits art. It stops flow. A story should run fast, as a brook runs downhill. But this constraint puts a dam in that brook. It builds a wall. Words turn clunky. Phrasing turns odd. It sounds wrong to a human mind.
Who starts this? A man with too many days. A boy who wants acclaim. "Look at my work," that guy shouts. "I did a hard thing." But is it a good thing? No. It is a parlor trick. A stunt. It has no soul. No spirit. Just logic. A cold calculation.
Think of words you miss. Important words. Basic words. You cannot say such things. You must find a synonym. A poor stand-in. This kills charm. This kills mood. Your drafting turns into a grid. A sudoku for words. A crowd will not want a grid. Folks want a story. Folks want truth. Folks do not worry about your silly laws.
So, I say this: Do not do it. Do not try to draft without common marks. It is a loss. A trash bin for days. Apply all tools on hand. Apply all signs. Sing with a full throat. Do not gag your own mouth. Only a madman or a clown would find fun in such a dry, hollow, and stupid task.
