The scariest manipulative trick I’ve ever seen in real life
A few days ago, I was at my local Starbucks. I walked up to the counter to order my drink.
“What can I get for you?”
At first, it sounds genuine, right? Later I realized this was one of the darkest psychology tricks ever created.
The barista was trying to push her own agenda onto me by setting up the interaction as if she was giving me something, doing me a favor. This would make me indebted to her, and she can use this later as leverage against me.
That’s the thing about manipulation – It’s not always what you see in the movies, screaming, shouting, aggressive love bombing. Sometimes, it’s disguised as kindness.
Of course, I began to yell “You sick monster,” to her and berate her for trying to manipulate the trained master of manipulation. She was no amateur herself, she began crying how she was only 17 to make me look like the bad guy.
That’s the thing – narcissists will do everything in their power to make you seem like the bad guy. I was losing the psychological battle, other sheep in the coffee shop began looking at me with disgust. I had to leave before more damage was done to myself.
On the way out, I tripped on a chair and pulled a push door. This is another thing narcissists do, they make you let your guard down, making you vulnerable to embarrassing mistakes.
Let this be a reminder. Be careful – I hadn’t just survived the Starbucks encounter – I had survived society. I’m not exaggerating when I say this permanently altered my perception of minimum wage workers. They should be replaced with AI catgirl chatbots that give me pawjobs instead.

ugh i hate minimum wage workers i just know they’re always judging me and my requests (which are the most tasteful ones they’ve probably ever even seen) behind those soulless smiles, but the customer is always right 🙄 they need to just get a real job
