Orduya katılmanın geri çekilmesini hissediyorum
Ben (18) ve şu anda Bootcamp’e gitmeden 1 gün önce, ama katılmamak gibi hissediyorum çünkü gerçekten istediğim şey olup olmadığını bilmiyorum, ailemden ve öleceğim köpeklerimden çok uzak olacağım, istediğim işi almadım çünkü açık değil ve işverenler zorlaştırıyor, aynı zamanda sadece fayda elde edeceğim, aynı zamanda ebeveynlerime de yardımcı olacak. Ayrıca bana onlar için katılmak zorunda olmadığımı söylediler. Sadece endişeli ve deli hissediyorum, eğer gitmezse hiçbir şey almayacağım, ama çalışma ve topluluk kolejime gitmeyi ve sonra bir üniversiteye transfer olmayı düşünmeye devam ediyorum. Bu rant için üzgünüm ve eğer mantıklı değilse.

Don’t fucking do it, fuck this recruiter you go to another recruiter/branch or not at all.
Do not join without a clear purpose especially if you didn’t get the job you wanted.
I was in your shoes just a few years ago. I didn’t end up going I just didn’t feel right the recruiters and people in the outside pressured me so hard to go after hours of back and forth I decided to go home right before I did they had me call my recruiter he told me “If you leave now you will amount to nothing.” That shot such a clear arrow of anger through my heart all the fear and anxiety flew away. Remember this you can also apply again later should you be talking about the American military the youth ain’t busting down there door like they once did. The military will take a hell of a lot out of you namely your freedom and body. If they ain’t gonna give you the job you want then walk away they can’t stop you try as they might. I am fumbling around in life but I’m free to do so on a path to become a nurse hopefully soon a path I wouldn’t have had I not been in the military. What I’m trying to say is dude you’re 18 hell of alot out there no need to rush and find your golden goose now. The military has its perks but if you want some years to figure it you can. Hell maybe give a year that’s what I’ve told my brother. What they gonna tell ya no? 😂

This is your life. If you don’t want to go, don’t go. I’d say cold feet can be pretty normal, so take that into account and push through if you think it’s simply the nerves of doing something big and new. What I WOULD say, though, is it makes sense to hold out for the job you want. Your MOS (or rate, or whatever it’s called wherever you’re going) is going to be your life for the next few years. A bad one can make or break you. Think about your future as well. How will your military job transition to civilian life when you’re out? These are important considerations. Bare minimum, if it’s truly not a job you can live with, I’d say “I’m not going until I’ve got the job I want.” It’ll be annoying to a recruiter, but it’s not illegal. You’re not here to make the recruiter’s life easier; this is for YOU.
Do you really want to be potentially blown to pieces for the chance to improve the lives of rich people back home? No war the government is going to throw you into is going to do anything for us or you besides make us more broke and give you ptsd.
Dude absolutely don’t go. I advise to you to go into the military but NOT if you can’t get a job you like. The military is HURTING for people and you have all of the leverage right now, he may even be hitting a quota by using you to fill a job others don’t want.
I find it hard to believe that any job in the military has no vacancy right now and trust me, if you tell a recruiter you’re not joining unless you can get that specific job they will 10000000% find a way. Find a different branch or recruiter that will put you exactly where you want to be. If you go and you’re doing a job you don’t want you’ll HATE it.
