My (21F) boyfriend (20M) keeps making Family Guy references and it is driving me up a wall

To be clear, I love my boyfriend to death. We got together after 2 years of being best friends and I couldn't imagine a day without him in it.

However, after we got together he started making unironic Family Guy references in passing. This was something I could bear for 2 months of it happening once every day or two. I reached my breaking point when we were being intimate and he referenced Brian the dog because he misheard what I said. This completely ruined the mood for me and I was mad at him for several days. Nevertheless, he keeps doing it even though I told him that it makes me upset. What should I do? I am considering breaking up with him, but because of our shared history it makes it really difficult to disconnect emotionally. Please advise.

P.S. It is important to note that he has only watched ONE SEASON of Family Guy. I would understand if he was a diehard fan, but he has only seen the rest of the show through YouTube Shorts and TikToks.
