Her şey yardımcı olur.

The good thing about college is that there is so much more in your control. You can literally take one class at a time. You can take most things via distance learning, in person or a hybrid of both. You can ask for accomodations from Student Services to enable you to be successful.

I would encourage you to at least dip your toe in the water with a single class on a subject you like and see how it goes. It’s remarkable what you can do without all the b.s. peer pressure and noise!

You’re 19 and autistic, you should not feel the need to find a career at this point. School has been a struggle but have you had proper support? You’re looking for jobs, you’re posting on the internet, you have some measure of independence and clear cognitive function. Why rule out higher education that happens on your terms instead of asking what a poverty level job is?

I guess you could work in a call center, do whatever counts for data entry and management or IT or something but why not give yourself a chance for more?

30,000 is like, barely over the poverty level. Might want to aim a little higher than that.

Look at skilled operator work, learn how to operate a crane and you can sit alone in a box and push buttons all day

I get you, I was burned out after high school. College and university is a different ball game. Come or don’t, submit the work or don’t. Pass or fail. All the “peaked in high school” stuff follows you to uni for maybe half of first year, but in my experience like 60 to 75 of first year students drop out. I started with 200 people in my course and finished with 25.

All the spoon-feeding stupid way of doing things and all the random arbitrary rules that apply to you but not others just sort of goes away. It obviously depends on your temperament, the school, etc… but I always felt like I was different and an outsider, until I got to university and then I found my people.

Try being a Certified Nurse Aide. You can get certified in a couple months. CNAs are in high demand, so much that some nursing homes will pay for your CNA class if you apply with them first. You make a little over 30k a year, more if you work overtime or night or evening shifts. A lot of the work is repetitive and being friendly is a huge plus.

It is ok if academic environment isnt suitable for you, only you can gauge yourself and you can made this far with your conditions you can only understand. Try your hands in small retail outlets. You will be dealing with small flow of customers who dont need convincing of what they need to buy and you will be exposed to simple admin task. Explore and find out what ticks you, only when you step into the workforce. You will be surprised of what you can do.

Off the top of my head: paralegal (sometimes it’s only a certificate), TEFL, quick books/accounting (to an extent), childcare assistant, paramedic (not sure about salary), medical coding/billing

check out your local community college, not a four year. that’s where your certifications/programs will come from. my local one offers many certifications, although many of them are computer related or healthcare related
