It's definitely a thing. Personally, I use a meditation app called "Under The Trees." I've had mental health issues in the past that I tried to get under control using anger management and the app was the only thing that worked.
One day I was meditating before I went to Starbucks and a couple high school jocks said something so extremely hurtful to me. He said, "look at this fucking creep. He's got his dick in the tree..HAHA holy shit this fucking loser is FUCKING A GODDAMNED TREE"
Well I saw red and the next thing you know I'm in the brush nearby covered in blood. It wasn't mine.
Obviously I need more time with the app to unpack this latest episode but my point still stands
