Is having a “pee pocket” normal/ heard of?

So I (F25) have an extra space where I can “store” my urine. If I really need to go but I don’t have access to a bathroom, I’m able to relive my bladder into my pocket. I can control it. I can empty the pocket once I get to a bathroom. The urine definitely leaves my bladder, and I am almost positive it leaves my body. But it doesn’t go into my pants, I can put it in my “pocket”.

It is a little different than my bladder, it’s more fragile so I have to walk funny and keep my legs closed. I can keep it there for awhile, it doesn’t have a “sensor” like the bladder does but it’s uncomfortable to hold in.

I wasn’t born with this skill. I have a small bladder and have to pee a lot. When I was a kid, I would have frequent accidents. So I feel as this was a developed skill my body has adapted. Idk tho.

My theory is that the (TW this might be gross idk) urine goes into my vagina. Now when I’ve told friends and family this before, they simply do not believe me. But i have some proof, and some mystery I guess

1. When I pee, it sounds like a normal stream. When I release the pocket, it all comes out at once. You can hear the difference.
2. I can feel where the pee goes. That’s where it’s going.
3. To prove it is going in my vagina, I put a regular tampon in when I wasn’t on my monthly cycle. I then used my pocket, released the pocket, and it was full of urine.
4. I asked my gynecologist if anything looked wrong down there at my last checkup. I explained the situation. She said everything looked fine and that she wasn’t a urologist. Idk.
5. Yes, I can hold in my period occasionally.

What is going on? Should i be concerned? TYIA!
