İş bulamıyorum. Herhangi bir iş.

Birkaç ay önce kendimi oldukça umutsuz hissettiğimde buraya bir yazı yazmıştım. 29 yaşındayım, bipolarım ve otistikim ve hiç işim olmadı. Asla.

Here’s a [list of career advice subreddits](https://www.reddit.com/r/findareddit/wiki/directory/#wiki_career_advice_.2F_job_searching) and here’s a [list of life advice](https://www.reddit.com/r/findareddit/wiki/directory_liferelationshipfamilyadvice/) ones divided by category.

If you want to roll the dice, you can probably contact a temp agency, job placement non-profit, or career-finding government-supported agency. They can help build a résumé, teach you about job expectations, and put you somewhere where you’ll get on-the-job training to do a specific job. These should all be free services, by the way. As a person who has been looking for work for half of the last twenty years, I’ve learned that one has to try different things when doing the same thing over and over isn’t working. Not to say this is “personal responsibility” nonsense, because we’re living through the worst unemployment crisis in at least 20 years with the statistics to back it up, but you gotta try different paths to get to your goal because you might get lucky.

Go to temp agencies! Like first thing in the morning. You’ll get some type of job. And it could be construction or warehouse just show up early! You’ll get more options

Okay, as someone who is also neurodivergent: get a gig job. Yes, it’s not what you deserve, and it won’t pay what you need, but without experience on your resume a restaurant isn’t going to want to hire you because they have to train you and there are people who want to be chefs that are willing to bark up that tree with the right intentions. You are looking at jobs like they are trash/lesser options and they aren’t. You got a degree in political science but aren’t talking to politicians about work? Are you willing to move to a big political city and apply there? Are you applying for your dream jobs or giving up at the start.

I’m not shutting you down, I’m saying: find the core of what you really like in those fields. Did you get into poli because you like the idea that it helps people? Then try looking in elder care, or animal care, or anything that you have a genuine interest in and find gig work that facilitates that interest.

The working class has a code of conduct not taught and it’s that we can all tell when you will be a wrench in the gears and not help. Some sad depressed dish washer that hates food is going to fuck everything up and not care.

They are also always busy, walk in and ask, but no one has time to change your mind or show you why their field is special, but they will be able to see when you have a passion as well as a need. We all have needs.

Also: yes the world is fucked and it’s entirely possible everything is frozen, no one wants to move out everyone is remaining stagnant in their job waiting to see what happens next. Which is all the more reason you have to convince people who don’t want to give up their position that you deserve to be there.

I’m not blind to the reality of the job market, but if you want to go the route of “they need people” you have to look where people just need a body. Hence the recruiter commenting here. If you just want to be a body, by all means. OR find what you love and stick to what you love come hell or high water because that is basically all we get in this life.

TLDR; work gig work in a field that’s at least adjacent to what you want to do, and keep focusing on applying in industries you want to work in. Don’t look at the workforce as “lesser than” positions.

Can you volunteer until you can get a job? Pick something you’d like to help with, like the animal shelter, food bank, community garden. While it won’t provide money, it can provide meaning, experience, and connections that may lead to a job.

USPS is often desperate for workers, the pay starts around $20 an hour but be warned they will work you into the ground. You’ll make a lot of money but you’ll lose any social life you might have had. Benefits are great. There’s no drug test.

I am in the same situation, I am even older than you. I tried McDonalds, there was an age limit (26). I tried a dishwasher job, there were so many candidates there, they probably hired the one with most experience. I tried cleaning jobs, but they want experience. My life is impossible.

Same as well, I struggled so badly finding work since I was 20 and I am 30 in 2 weeks time. I have found jobs but those were shit with my warehouse job being the only good one. I am unemployed now and theres just nothing out there at the moment and even if there was they wont get back to me.

I have been rejected from so much entry level jobs and even jobs I did have those just went to shit due to drama. Cant find a job or at least a stable one anywhere. Its so defeating. I have given up on jobs at this point. Feels like I’ll never find anything good at this point. I dont care anymore.

Call trade schools. Many will find you an apprenticeship before you even pay for school.

Your state should have resources for this, not sure what they’re called in different places- mine was called ‘Rehabilitation Services’ but they covered both college costs and helping me find a job after with a disability. I’d recommend doing some research on it.

ETA: Not *all* college costs. Something like 2k a semester.

I’m also autistic and doordash is the only thing able to do rn. I had part time job for less than two weeks it was too much for me. Doordash can be stressful driving and going in places but at least I stop/start at anytime

You need to gain work experience to be able to climb the ladder and find better and better jobs and may find the one you feel happy with. If you are trying to start out somewhere try a warehouse job, check on Amazon.hiring if there are positions available in your area. Me personally I like working in a warehouse but not every place gives you growth opportunities. You can start out somewhere and as you work look in your free time for better places. Another one that’s always hiring is FedEx or Amazon delivery on indeed. You literally just have to start out somewhere. Maybe you’re not going to be making a big amount but normally Amazon pays about 18.50+ an hour. Maybe you’ll like it or maybe not and that will serve as motivation to find something better later on

Look up evolution games. It’s an online casino. They take anyone and the pay is pretty good.
Another job ive had that would take anyone- answering service for directors. A funeral home answering service. The similarities between these two jobs is that they have a very thorough training program. They will pay you minimum wage during the training, and then $17-$20/hr once you complete it.
