Her neyse, bariz cevap okula geri dönmek.
İş gücünde geçirdiğiniz süre boyunca gerçekten ilginç olan, belki benim varlığından bile haberdar olmadığım hangi işleri duyduğunuzu bilmek istiyorum.
Açıkçası süper niş bir şey istemiyorum çünkü ulaşılabilir olmasını istiyorum.
Tıp veya yazılım alanlarında kesinlikle hiçbir şey yapmayın lütfen.

You probably won’t be interested but others may be. I’m a technician for fire suppression systems in buildings. I do inspections and repairs on the systems. Mostly pipe fitting and some low voltage electrical work. I get to travel around the country here and there and see cool places but most companies don’t really travel outside their local area. I get a take homework van, tools bought for me, retirement, all that fun stuff. Since what I work on is life safety systems even Covid didn’t do a ton to us because empty buildings still had to be inspected. Most of my co workers and i that have about 5 years of experience or more all make over 100k. A new hire with 0 background would probably make like 60-65 their first year but still get their own take home vehicle and that stuff.
Try sign language interpreter. We’re in shortage. We work with an incredible community. Everyone thinks we’re going to replaced with robots, but it hasn’t happened yet. I think it’s because AI can only interpret in one direction, and people can do it in both. And probably some other reasons.
911 dispatch – pays well, very very low barrier to entry (only need customer service exp), unlimited OT, great for people with ADHD, but depending on the platoon you work with, can make work very toxic
I was a nurse. Moved from one nursing specialty to another if I needed a change. Changed it up at least 6 times over the years. Retired now.
Industrial mechanics, lots of variety of work, great pay. If you like learning how things work and have some mechanical aptitude you can do very well
Instead of trying to pick careers and sorting through them one by one, write up a list of parameters for what you’d want first then go from there. What type of work setting do you prefer, working with hands or your mind more, customer/client facing or not, computer work or not, salary goals, work/life balance preferences, etc. I’d figure all that out, input it into chatgpt and it will give you good idea of what you’d like, or at least narrow down and eliminate some options right off the bat. Also you should go take a career assessment exam at your local community college.
physics/biology then Astronaut
How about something different.

Oil refinery operations. No schooling required and ours has an excellent training program. Top pay can be attained in less than 6 months. An assistant operator can pull down $150k easily. Console and lead operators $170 easily.
My coolest job was car show model. The term for it is automotive product specialist. Both men and women can do it. I did it for four years!
You basically sign to a car brand and they fly you out to their HQ for training. They teach you about all of their models, features, options, and then let you test drive all the cars so you can answer questions about them confidently. Then they put you on a roster and fly you all over the country to different car shows at convention centers, events, car races, new car launches, swanky parties etc.
You get fitted for a new wardrobe every season and your flights/hotels/daily stipend are all paid for. Your only job is to stand next to the cars and get leads from interested customers. Then those leads get sent to the local dealerships. In other cases you let the customer test drive while you explain the features, or simply rep them at events.
I once got flown from Maryland to Napa, CA for a 3 hour Porsche launch party in a vineyard. I got paid for my full day rate at $400. From there I got sent to a $40mil mansion in Monterrey for car week to represent Land Rover at a week-long private event. It’s definitely glamorous.
Each car brand looks for different types of models, and no you don’t have to be drop dead beautiful. For example, Toyota and Ford have a bunch of average “All-American” looking people on their team seem relatable. Suburu tends to pick rugged looking folks. Tatted up with gauges kind of thing. The German car teams want tall, thin, and polished.
If you develop any special skills like narrating or hosting in front of a live audience, your rate can go up to $1,000/day minus the agency’s 20% cut.
No degree required. Just be charismatic, smiley, and decently attractive.
How would you feel still being in the hospitality industry i.e. selling restaurant insurance or something because you know restaurants so well, for example.
Ultimately, it comes down to learning and doing. So focus on what we you feel eager to want to learn more and do more of. That means trying things that you feel a pull towards. Try to find people with similar values or personalities as you and try their paths on for size.
Every job comes down to using tools for a specific purpose. Law, science, math – these are all tools for specific jobs..find the tools you like to learn and use. Then find the specific application and purpose behind that application. Let’s say your interested in houses, well are you interested in selling them, building them, insuring them etc etc
Focus on the things that exist around you and follow your feelings if you want to learn more about them and get involved somehow
Went back to school and got accepted into a radiography program last fall! Just started my 2nd semester, I’m 39 and really excited about the future
