   In which subjects are you getting good grades? Which subjects fascinate you? What did you wanted to be since primary school? What kind of jobs do your parents have?
   You should have had some type of field you want to get into by now like doctors, military …
   And it’s ok if you don’t know yet. You don’t need to declare your major during your first year of college since you will be busy taking general education courses. This way, you can go sit down and talk to an advisor about it. You don’t also need to transition straight to college after getting your high school diploma. You can take a gap year to try to figure out what you want to do in college.

   Honestly, I went to a college fair in high school, picked a school that looked interesting, did an in-person tour, really liked it, and didn’t even consider any other schools. My main factors were that I wanted something out of state and a small school, which narrowed it down quite a bit. Having friends who both went to state schools and private colleges, I would highly recommend considering the price (and even consider community college) because I know multiple people who ended up in serious debt because they wanted the status of a private school. Otherwise, consider what things you like, why you like them, the interests and strengths you have, and do some research online (and use chat GPT for help) and pick a school that has a degree that interests you. And as u/Appropriate-Tutor587 mentioned, there’s nothing wrong with being “undeclared” and exploring different options before committing, that’s what college is for!
