Bugünlerde zekanın hiçbir değeri yoksa ne yapmalıyım?
Bu dünyada kendimi uzaylı gibi hissediyorum. IQ’m yüksek ama EQ’m düşük. İyi sosyal becerilerim var ama doğal olarak insanlarla aram iyi değil, çocukluğumdan dolayı gerçekten sessiz ve utangaç biriyim. Bu birleşimin bir lanet, bir yük olduğunu düşünüyorum. Harika sosyal becerilere sahip değilim ya da "gizli sos" diğer herkesin sahip olduğu görülüyor. Bunun yerine bende var "İyi mantıksal akıl yürütme ve iyi okuma/yazma anlama" 2025 yılında bunların hiçbir değeri yok. Tıpkı lisede zar zor ders çalışırken ACT’den 32 aldığım gibi, adına makaleler yazdığım tüm üniversite profesörlerim, gördükleri en iyi yazarlardan biri olduğumu söylediler. Ama bu paraya dönüşmüyor, hiçbir şey ifade etmiyor. Ben çok çalışkan biriyim ama bu da işe yaramaz; yönetime geçmek için gereken sosyal beceriler olmadan çok çalışmak, düşük ücret karşılığında sömürülmek anlamına gelir. Keşke parmaklarımı şıklatıp kendimi ortalama bir zekaya ancak iyi sosyal becerilere sahip hale getirebilseydim ve böylece bir sürü para kazanabilseydim. Hollywood romantikleştirmeyi seviyor "otistik bilgin" ama gerçekte bu, hayatınızı görünmez bir hapishanede yaşamak anlamına gelir. Keşke bu yükten kurtulabilsem ve normal olabilseydim. Ben ne yaparım?

I don’t agree with the premise
Everything you said is like you are bullying yourself that’s why you feel it’s deadend. But reality is, there is hope for you. You just keep on lowering yourself. You have low self esteem, try to visit a psychologist or counselor. They helped me a lot.
Intelligence is not worthless. Why don’t you pursue a career in medical research etc.?

Unless you’re around 18, then don’t take this to heart. I was about this delusional and still am
EQ isn’t real. I grew up hearing the same thing from my parents after the school told me to get a psych test or else they’d kick me out of 1st grade due to me being a problem kid. It’s a subjective test that back then they just looked at me who didn’t want to be there and be like “yep, I lack emotional control”
Social skills are named so because they are skills and need practice to get. Nobody is born with social skills because it’s different between cultures and time period. In East Asia pretty much everyone is “shy” and speak with such a low volume you can barely hear them. The barometer for social skills there is different. In America everyone talks all the time, so being a good talker is much more important as far as social skills go.
The other thing about social skills is that nobody can really teach you how to do it. Training you is possible, but for the most part, you have to self-teach because what works for me doesn’t necessarily work for you
Try stock trading, you don’t need social skill for that

Character traits don’t translate into money. Not IQ, not EQ, not extroversion, or any other “secret sauce” you imagine someone else has, and which you imagine is responsible for their success.

And how do you think you are going to do that? You magically talk your way into “more money”? And people are just going to give it to you because of social appeal?
Here is the thing: What makes money are skills.
So, I think you are focusing on the wrong thing. What skills do you have? Can you install ACs? Write software? Build awesomely artistic custom made bird baths? Those are the things that count.
That’s what makes money, because ultimately people buy artistic custom made bird baths (or ACs, or software). Whether the person who makes those awesome bird baths can socially schmooze them or not, is secondary.
Let me be incredibly blunt: Nobody fucking cares if someone is the social butterfly star at the Christmas party. It does not matter. If they underperform, if they don’t have the skills that are needed for the job, they are on the chopping block.
Sure, there are exceptions. Some people manage to slime themselves along higher and longer than one might expect. And, with every other thing being equal, the more social person has an advantage.
But generally it’s secondary. What counts are your skills. As long as you have skills that the market demands, you will be in demand. Your EQ, IQ, and all rest don’t matter. Nobody gives a flying fuck about any of those.
