Bitirdim.
Mayıs 25’te üniversiteden mezun oldu. Ne yazık ki bilgisayar bilimi. O zamandan beri hiçbir görüşmem olmadı, bu yüzden yiyecek alabilmek için saati 18 dolar olan çıkmaz bir iÅŸ için iÅŸe geri döndüm.
Bu işe sahip olmasaydım tembel olduğum söylenirdi, bu işe sahip olduğumda ise sektörümle ilgisi olmayan bir işte bu kadar zaman harcamanın hata olduğu söylendi. Giriş seviyesi kariyer pozisyonları aramaya çalıştığımda, her alanda uzmanlık dereceleri ve uzun yıllara dayanan deneyim istiyorlar, ancak ben bu deneyime sahip olmadığım için suçlanıyorum.
O zaman ne biliyor musun? Pes ediyorum. Yaptığım her şey toplum tarafından her zaman yanlış kabul edilecekse, hiçbir şey yapmasam daha iyi olur. Sonsuza kadar ailemle yaşayacağım çünkü saat başına 18 dolar tam zamanlı çalışma saatlerimde bile kendimi geçindirmeye yetmiyor. Bir kariyere başlayamadığım için hayattaki ortak kilometre taşlarına asla ulaşamayacağım.
Sahip olduğum tek iş deneyiminin çağrı merkezi işi olduğu için üzgünüm. Üniversite yıllarımda alabildiğim tek şey bu olduğu için üzgünüm. İşe yaramaz.
Hayatım bitti. 21 yaşındayım. Toplum benim gelişme, çalışma ve büyüme şansına sahip olmamı istemiyor.

It sounds like you’re doing really well in a lot of ways, you’re earning money in a job while you look for positions you are interested in/is relevant your degree. Also, 21 is still young. I didn’t graduate uni until I was nearing 23.
21 and making $18/hr is normal. You have to start somewhere.
I recommend spending less time online because the internet will have you believe you’re either effortlessly making 300k or you’re a loser. That is not reality. Work is hard, that’s why we’re paid for it. And the average income in America for your age group is 40k.
If you want to rapidly move upward in income, you’ll need to follow demand. Right now healthcare is a solid bet.
Going back to the job was a good idea. Tech is boom and bust, and right now we are kinda busted.
Sometimes call centers can be decent places to start a career, as there’s often very little serious competition for the management training track.
Also, you get a lot of lower middle class people just living their lives there without paying much attention to the upper class and their way of doing milestones.
Folks are helping each other with car repairs and roommate hunting, potluck weddings, and affordable recipes.
Keep in mind:
Silicon Valley Bank is dead, and without it, tech companies can’t play fast and loose with hiring. We’re all mourning that, you’re definitely not failing for joining us in having a rough one. Lots of us have temporarily pulled back from tech as the full job, instead of a side hustle, or a hobby, or a portion of the job.
At least you went for comp sci instead of cybersecurity. Many schools didn’t want to admit that sysadmins deserve relevant education, so they only offer these degrees with a twist.
Hey dude, a guy I know that graduated comp sci 2 years ago just got a job after almost 2 years of job hunting. It’s a rough market, and idk how many you’ve applied for. But it’s truly a numbers game.
The job market sucks. I myself have to relocate to a whole different state for a role. It goes up and down and with the unpredictability of AI it’s hard to say it’ll go up.
You can always switch career fields, too. I know so many that did and are for the better. 21 is a freaking baby dude. You’ve got time.
