30 milyon işsiz ve açıkçası kaybettik
Yakın zamanda işsizim, kısacası kaybettim, el işi yapıyordum ve bir yaralanmadan sonra artık bunu yapamıyorum. Yürüyebiliyorum ve her şey yolunda ama artık eskisi gibi kaldıramıyorum. Zaman geçtikçe ilerleyebileceğim bir şeye başlamak istiyorum. Milyonlarca dolar kazanmayı hayal etmiyorum. Dürüst olmak gerekirse 50 binin üzerinde olabilseydim, büyüyebildiğim sürece memnun olurdum. Teknolojiye her zaman ilgim vardı ama şu anda spesifik bir teknoloji alanım yok. Sadece bir GED’im var, üniversite için param yok ama hangi yolu seçersem seçeyim sertifikalar alabilir ve kendi kendine öğrenebilirim, bunun teknoloji olması gerekmiyor ama bu sadece her zaman ilginç olduğunu düşündüğüm bir şeyin bir örneği. Pek çok insan gibi ben de uzaktan yarı zamanlı veya tam zamanlı çalışabilme fikrini seviyorum. (Haftada 100 saat el emeği ile çalışıyordum, bu nedenle uzun saatler beni rahatsız etmiyor, çalışmaktan keyif alıyorum). Dürüst olmak gerekirse herhangi bir öneri memnuniyetle karşılanacaktır.

If you can’t go into trades due to your physical issues, you should probably look into community college. They generally have a bunch of certificate programs that are in demand in your area.
Some of these may come out harsh, sorry I’m just typing things out and hope it helps.
1. Work on communication skills. Watch YouTube videos on how to improve your typing/text communications. Communication is how the world works.
Your post is short, focused on what you want, and doesn’t provide us the tools/information to help you specifically. So you’re going to get generic advice, if anything.
2. Assuming you were in a trade. I would recommend looking to move up from what you were doing. Project management, site manager, procurement, whatever field you were in… stay near it. If you weren’t in tech then it’ll be hard to get into it
3. Socialize and get out there. Call old friends and business people you’ve met. Tell them you’re looking for something new because your body can’t handle the hard labor anymore. We all grow old and get it.
4. Pick a topic adjacent to your previous work and dive deep into it. Find experts talking on YouTube, take notes in a real notebook, do write ups, join the reddit page on that topic and consume information like it’s a drug.
5. Give yourself a project. Do a thing, even if it’s bad. Write a document, do site drawings, create a project plan, whatever. If you want to do tech, teach yourself to code.
6. Almost everything you could want to learn is online these days. Often better and more accurate than going to college. Find a thing you’re interested in start going that way.
7. I keep saying to go into a direction. That’s because it’ll keep you motivated, you’ll have something to show for it, and you’ll meet people that like that thing too. If it doesn’t work for you then pivot to something else.
30M also unemployed but going on for about 2 years now. Last few places I said fuck this shit and ended up walking out. Got sick and tired of working dead end jobs all the clowns and asshats that only live to bring others down to making them more miserable than everyone else.
Prior to that, I broke up with a toxic ex gf who lied to me towards the end despite me supporting her living costs on top of mine when she quit her first job and walked out of her second and refusing to find work only to rely on me draining me financially. Of course the same year I also got into a wreck and was sued by the other party so yeah my life savings was damn near gone.
On paper I’m not technically broke since I have some money left over in savings but I need a car obviously since I’m looking to get back to work so I would be spending half of what I have left easily to get a brand new car (have purchased too many used cars in the past and got royally screwed over). The rest I’m going to spend on a nice long vacation since I haven’t been anywhere in the past 8 years.
