26 milyon kişi rüyasında zamanın tükendiğini hissediyor
Merhaba Reddit. Geçen hafta 26 yaşına girdim ve bu pek çok duyguyu ortaya çıkardı. 19 yaşımdan beri hayalim, müziÄŸiyle geçimini saÄŸlayan yıldız bir sanatçı olmaktı. Her zaman çok zamanım olduÄŸunu düşünürdüm ama bildiÄŸiniz gibi zaman hızla akıp gidiyor. Yıllar boyunca müzik okuluna gittim ve hatta New York’un en iyi stüdyolarında mühendis olarak çalıştım. Her zaman kendime hayallerimi ciddiye almaya baÅŸlayacağımı söyledim ama aslında hiç yapmadım. Hayat yoluma çıkabilir ve aklımı rüyalarımdan uzak tutmak için bana kesinlikle çok sayıda eÄŸri top attı. 26 yaşıma girdiÄŸimde buna gerçekten adil bir ÅŸans veremeyecek kadar yaÅŸlı olduÄŸumu hissediyorum ve bunun peÅŸinden gitmek için en iyi yıllarımı boÅŸa harcadığımı hissediyorum. Zaman zaman aktif olarak müzik yapıyorum ve ortaya çıkan ÅŸeklini her zaman seviyorum ve görünen o ki çevremdeki insanlar da aynı ÅŸeyi hissediyor. Åžu anda bir restoranda çalışıyorum ve faturalarımı ödeyebildiÄŸim ve geçinebildiÄŸim kadar para kazanıyorum. Hala en çılgın hayalime bir ÅŸans verecek kadar genç miyim?

of course you’re still young enough! do you know how many artists got big after 25? i’m 25 myself and just starting to dabble in making music haha. don’t ever give up on your dreams, and we’re both still so young.
Keep making music and putting it out into the world and the right people will find it. Social media has given artists a platform to showcase their work. Use it. Think about how you package and distribute it.
There are also a ton of professions in music that you can work where you might not be the star in the spotlight, but you’re still doing what you love. Everything from engineering to writing songs to writing reviews of music to doing jingles for marketing agencies to being an Elvis impersonator in Myrtle beach. Don’t give up yet. I worked a lot of shitty jobs until I finally got my foot in the door doing something I love at 35. All those graveyard shifts during the pandemic were worth it.
All you got is time, my man. Make the most of it.
ChatGPT music artists that had their break after 26 and ask it to tell you their origin story, struggles, and defining moments until they finally got their break. Read these stories and recognize that it’s possible for you to make it.
Then you need to be ready to be the person that will actually do what’s needed to make it happen. Not everyone does this last part consciously and perhaps this is why there are so many waiters in LA.
